It was a celebration of joy for both clergy and laity of the Essien Region as the Christ Apostolic Church Authority led by the General Superintendent, Pastor E. O. Odejobi dedicated Essien Regional Secretariat on Saturday 15th July, 2023.
The dedication took place at the Regional House situated at Itesi, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
While delivering the message titled "The Cost of Unity" taken from the text, Psalms 133:1, the General Superintendent expressed that the issue of having unity in the home, church and society is not a matter of prayer but of paying the costs, stating the costs as, "understudy to Understand one and other; tolerance; forgiveness and; giving.
He eulogized the courage of the Regional Superintendent on embarking on such project at such time as this in Nigeria.
Meritorious awards were given to some retired clerics, which are, Pastor J.A. Kayode of Revival Zone; Pastor F. O. Adenuga of Iperu Unity Zone; and Prophet Peter Ayinde of Oke Ola Zone.
Among the dignitaries that graced the occasion were the CAC President, Pastor S. O. Oladele represented by the General Superintendent, Pastor E. O. Odejobi; the General Secretary and his wife, Pastor and Mrs E. E. Mapur; the Regional Superintendent, Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin; DCC, Zonal and District Superintendents; Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Deaconesses, CACMA, GWA, CACYOF, Royal Shepherd and the students of CACTS Abeokuta Study Centre.
The dedication service was anchored by the Regional Secretary, Pastor D. O. Okusanya while Elder Ayoola Ogunbona gave the votes of thanks and appreciated the Church Authority for honouring the invitation.
