Christ Apostolic Church Sokoto DCC holds 2023 General workers' seminar

To ensure accuracy in discharging duties in individual area of service in the church and to attain maturity in the church workforce according to the standard of the Bible and the ethics of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, CAC Sokoto Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC) has held a general workers' seminar for her church workers.

The seminar themed, “The maturity of the church workers and the exemplary leadership style of David” (Texts: Acts 6:1-7, 1 Sam. 3:1-21, 1 Kings 11:38, 1 Kings 9:4), held on Saturday 16th December, 2023 at the DCC headquarters, No 2, Off Abdullahi Fodio road, Sokoto, Sokoto state.

Aimed at improving the knowledge of the workers and supply them with godly virtues as required of them, the DCC workers seminar was also to ensure proper accountability of workers to the end that they receive heavenly rewards as they give account of their stewardship before Jesus, the Master.

The two facilitators of the seminar are, Elder/Prof Adebayo Aruwayo of the Federal University Dutsinma, Katsina state and the DCC Superintendent, Pastor A. I .E  Nwani.

They both stressed the need to be born again, giving oneself to the study of the word of God and outstanding prayer life as the major things that make one an outstanding worker in God’s vineyard.

The facilitators jointly noted the qualities of church workers according to the scriptures and as modelled by the CAC church leadership as, the need to grow mature to the full image of Christ as workers, emphasizing on how church workers should relate with their departmental leaders, Pastors and the Authority of the church.

Placing a thorough X-ray on the exemplary leadership style of David, from being a shepherd boy to his conquest of Goliath, and instrumentalist invited to the palace, his challenges and rise to becoming a King in Israel, the workers were admosnished to adhere to the positive lessons exemplified by King David.

The DCC Superintendent, Pst A.I.E Nwani intimated the workers of the Vision and Mission of the church as well as the church tenets, telling the workers that CAC is a church where the Holy Spirit is in charge and conveys instruction to her leaders.

He wished the attendees and heir families Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2024 as well as a better working and walking relationship with God in the incoming year.

Units and departments in attendance were,Ushers, Interpreters, Media, Choir, Children workers, Sunday school, Prayer warriors, Youth executives, Men and Good Women executives, Deaconesses, finance department, Office Assistants, Board of Elders, Midwives and the church Ministers.
