In appreciation of his unquantifiable contributions to Christian faith in Nigeria and his exceptional leadership quality, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South West Chapter, has decorated the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele as Pillar of Faith.
Pastor Oladele was honored alongside other dignitaries, on May 22nd, 2025, at the CAN South-West meeting, which featured a conference, investiture, and empowerment program, held at the Garden of Faith, Communion Faith Avenue, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In his remarks, the CAN Chairman, South-West Nigeria, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, noted that Pastor Oladele was honored for his exceptional leadership quality and for being a spiritual leader with a heart of gold.
In appreciation to CAN, the CAC President express his gratitude noting that the award came as a pleasant surprise to him.
He then prayed for appearance of pleasant surprises in the lives of the organisers.
He also stated that the award is a challenge and an invitation to more works not only in CAC, but also in the context of the body of Christ generally.
Pastor Oladele humbly referenced Billy Graham, who once said that he accepts awards temporarily, with the intention of laying them at the feet of Jesus, the ultimate Master.
"I accept this award, and all others I've received and will receive, as temporary honors that I will ultimately lay at the feet of Christ. May God strengthen CAN nationally, beyond regional boundaries." He remarked.
Others honored at the event are the Inspector General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun, Deputy Comptroller -General of Customs, Barr. Alajogun Olaniyi, Business Mogul, Aare Adetola Emmanuel-King and Gospel Artist, Evang. Prof. Ebenezer Fabiyi-Obey.
In the entourage of the President of CAC are the General Evangelist of CAC, Prophet Hezekiah O. OLADEJI, General Secretary, Pastor E.E. MAPUR, Regional Superintendent of Essien Region, Pastor I.O. EYEBIOKIN, Regional Superintendent of Babalola Region, Pastor G.S. DADA, Special Assistant to CAC President, Pastor T.D. ASOKEJI, Regional Secretary of Essien Region, Pastor S. OKUSANYA and some other ordained pastors of Christ Apostolic Church.
