It is the responsibility of every Christian particularly Christian leaders to labour until Christ like characters are formed in their lives.
This assertion was made by Pastor Stephen Ajayi, the Superintendent Christ Apostolic church Igando District Coordinating council, Pearce Region Lagos.
Pastor Ajayi was addressing Igando DCC ministers of God and church workers at the 2025 edition of annual refresher course which was held recently at the DCC headquarters.
In his lecture titled " Character Reformation : the bases to Christian leadership fulfillment", the clergy held that every Christian has some character flaws before becoming a Christian.
According to him, it is expected that redeemed Christians become what God wants them to be in every form of Godly living.
He noted that, Christian leaders are expected to inspire others to love and follow Christ through their characters in integrity, humility and selflessness.
Pastor Ajayi declared that leaders of God's people need to be trained in order to become what Christ wants them to be.
Illustrating with the training soldiers undergo, he further stated that the reason why soldiers are being sent to camp is to train them to stop thinking like civilians.
"In a boot camp, they are isolated from family and friends and the rest of society in order to be focused and receive new mindset that befits soldiers." he explained.
Pastor Ajayi emphasized the importance of annual refresher course on the intellectual and spiritual development of ministers, church workers and leaders.
The refresher course was attended by all District Superintendents, Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Deaconesses, church workers and leaders in the DCC.
