He also noted that "twenty (20) DCC/Zonal Superintendents have been inducted from January 2024 till date. This points to the growth and committment of everyone in the service of God. We have also made giant strides in our efforts to spread the gospel and share the love of Christ with others."

Delivering the day's sermon on the topic "The Necessity of Thanksgiving" from the text, Colossians 1:12-14, the General Secretary of the church, Pastor E. E. Mapur, introduced that the reason for thanksgiving is found in the saving acts of God because it is these blessings that deliver believers out of Satan's domain of darkness and into the realm of light and spiritual fruitfulness.

Describing thankfulness as an important subject in the word of God, used by Apostle Paul over 40 times in his epistles, he explained that thankfulness is a mental and verbal expression of one's acknowledgement and appreciation of God's person, His grace, blessings and sovereign work in one's life and the world.

According to Pastor Mapur, thankfulness is the opposite of pride, thankfulness is the oppostite of selfishness, thankfulness is the opposite of murmuring and pettiness, and thankfulness is the opposite of self-trust.

On the reasons for thanksgiving, he mentioned, because it honours God; because it is commanded in the scripture; and because of the dangerous consequence of thanklessness; furthering that "we should give thanks whenever we pray. Thanksgiving turns our eyes from our problems and ourselves to the Lord that we might focus on Him and His sovereign grace."

"Thirdly, we should always give thanks in everything and for everything. Finally, we should always give thanks because it protects us against the dangers and consequences of thanklessness."

The 2025 Babalola regional day also witnessed the presentation of awards given to a Retired (Rtd) DCC Superintendent, Prophet N. O. Adigun; Rtd Zonal Superintendent, Pastor David Ajani, and ex-good women leader of the region, Deaconess Victoria Adeyinka.
