Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship, Lagos campus, comprising Akinyele, Akilling and Pearce regions, has held her annual campus executive retreat on Saturday, April 29th, 2023 at CAC Mount of Wonders, Omole Phase 1, Lagos.
Labelled as Ablaze 2.0, the 2023 edition was tagged “Launching Into the Deep”.
Speaking during the keynote address, the assistant Youth Coordinator, Akinyele Region, Pastor Israel T. Ariyo, who also doubles as Akinyele Regional Campus Coordinator, said that the programme was aimed at awakening the campus fellowship leaders to evangelism beyond the fellowship.
“Ablaze 2.0 is aimed at awakening the leaders of the fellowship across all our campuses not to limit their evangelism to Christ Apostolic Church only, but to launch into the deep of the unreached within the campus environment.” He explained.
Building on the foundation laid by Pastor Ariyo, one of the resource persons for the day, Pastor Seun Oladokun during the first lecture, stated that launching into the deep is God’s imperious summon to a new revival and awakening that gives priority to a total unrelenting evangelism.
“We have a saving, redeeming, judgment-hour message and revival fire that must be given to all mankind, not only students on our campuses and its environs but also to indigenes of our host community with compelling passions," he said.
Speaking further from his own experience, Pastor Oladokun explained that the unreached highlighted above may not be reached if those in charge, that is, campus leaders, do not mingle.
According to him, many of the unbelievers within and outside the fellowship walls who are being avoided by some of the campus leaders are people who need the CAC kind of fire.

He added that to launch into the deep, there must be a catch and that the purpose of launching into the deep is to catch.
He then stated that campus leaders should maintain positive attitudes and make strategic moves towards the catch.
He identified living faith, total obedience, activation, recruitment, training and mobilization as the strategies needed for the catch.
Pastor Oladokun also spelt out five practical methods of launching; they are, community to community, hostels to hostels, door to door, person to person, and feedbacks and personality tracts sharing.
The workshop session was taken by Akinyele Regional Youth Coordinator, Pastor Olu Olorunpomi who spoke on maximizing resources for maximum impact.
The programme also featured impartation by Akilling Regoinal Campus Coordinator, Pastor Aladejare; orientation by the secretary to the committee and Holy Fire Centre Youth Coordinator, Pastor Raphael Adegoke; song ministrations by the Ablaze Choir amongst other enlightening and impacting sessions.
Pearse Regional Campus Coordinator, Pastor M. Ojo Bamise including other members of the committee were also present during the programme.
