It was indeed a dream come true for members, Elders, Deaconesses, and ministers of Christ Apostolic Church, Sokoto Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Sokoto state, as their newly posted DCC Superintendent, Pastor A.I.E Nwani was formally inducted as the sixth Superintendent of the Sokoto DCC.

Pastor Nwani, a revivalist who does not believe in impossibilities coupled with impressive administrative intelligence that fosters unity among his ministers and experience of the move of God since he assumed office, was inducted on Sunday April 30, 2023.

The induction service which was conducted by the Adelaja Regional Superintendent, Pastor Dr. S.N. Maichibi was held at CAC Hill of Blessing, Sokoto DCC Headquarters, located at No. 2, Off Abdullahi Fodio Road, Sokoto State, Nigeria.

Pastor Maichibi in his sermon titled ”The Gospel of the Kingdom” from the text, Luke 16:16, explained in detail what the kingdom means.

He said the kingdom is the combination of two words "King" and "Dom" which means a King and his domain.

Establishing the origin of the preaching about the kingdom of God, which started with John the Baptist who said 'repent for the kingdom of God is at hand', the cleric made known to the inductee and the entire congregation that there are many gospels according to Apostle Paul’s letter to the Corinthians in 2nd Corinthians 11:2-4, warning the church to always preach the true gospel which is the gospel of the Kingdom.

Pastor Maichibi further charged the inductee, ministers and the congregation  to preach only the gospel of the Kingdom that prepares the hearts of men towards becoming a member of God’s kingdom which is headed by the our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Cleric also emphasized that the reason for Jesus' coming is to preach the kingdom of God.

The Regional Superintendent enumerated that the matter of the gospel of the Kingdom of God was a serious one, owing that John the Baptist and Jesus Christ, the Master preached it (Matt. 4:23, 9:35).

He added that; "It is a pity that people preach another gospel today abandoning the Gospel of the kingdom. Jesus’ major concern is the preaching of the kingdom (Acts 1:1-3)."

Pastor Maichibi concluded with a charge for the congregation on the need to seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness, urging Christians to devoid themselves of anxieties, as "the Lord promises to make available unto everyone other things if only the kingdom is sought first (Matt. 6:25-33). Christ’s second coming is to take us home to reign with Him in His kingdom. It is a place we should not miss."

It was indeed a moment of joy evident from the facial expressions of the DCC members, cutting across all the church departments such as CACGWA ,CACMA, CACYOF and the children. This may not be far from the positive touch of God in many lives through Pastor Nwanni and his wife.
