Coronavirus:CAC Worldwide directs all assemblies to distribute palliatives to the needy

The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, has directed all assembly Pastors in Nigeria to distribute palliatives to the needy in their congregations.


A circular signed by the General Secretary of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur directed to all Regional, DCC, Zonal and District Superintendents and Assembly Pastors, stated thatthe church authority encouraged all clergy and the laity to hold fast to Jesus Christ our Saviour at a time like this.


The Authority of the church further urged all assemblies to identity some privileged individuals in their congregation and urge them to kindly rise up to the occasion and donate some palliatives in kind or cash to the church for the purpose of distributing same to the needy in their assemblies.


Assemblies were also directed;"to set aside a day when the palliative will be gathered from the well meaning and kind hearted brethren at the mission house and to distribute the palliative to the needy in their assemblies. This is in line with 1st John chapter 3 verse 16 and 17, which says: "Hereby we see the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whosoever has this world's good and sees his brother in need, and shuts his bowel of compassion from him, how dwells the love of God in him?"


Pastor Mapur said the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun views with great concern the ordeal a lot of church members, especially the needy, are going through. He added that many are going through a lot of difficulty at a time of this lockdown occasioned by this pandemic.


A Press release signed by the Director of Publicity, Pastor Ade Alawode, said the CAC President further urged all Assembly Pastors to ensure that they look after the welfare of all their members both spiritually and physically and ensure that all of them have  a sense of belonging and  a feeling that they are well loved.


This, he further stated, is what develops loyalty to Christ in the individual members of the Church.


"The President prays that the divine power of God will shield every one of us and we shall make a glorious crossover into healthy and peaceful post- covid-19 in Jesus name amen" he concluded.
