The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Itire Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Itire, Lagos, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun has urged Christians not to read too much about coronavirus, but meditate on the scripture.

He noted that very soon we shall all gather again to glorify God for conquering coronavirus for us.

Pastor Oladokun said this while ministering on the topic "The Ascension of Christ" on Sunday April 19, 2020 during the Sunday Service of the church which was live streamed on their official Facebook page.

The Cleric stated that most times, evils that happen in the world are caused by man, saying that it is the grace and mercy of God that will intervene and put an and to the present situation.

He added: "Let us have faith in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. He has put the devil under our feet and he shall dwell there forever."

According to him, Jesus through His ascension has brought all other powers under our feet and when the power comes on anybody, it will transform the person and it will bring victory.

"You don't need to fear any virus or sickness because of what Jesus has done for us. You won't be a partaker of it because the power of God is there to protect and give you all you want," he said.

Pastor Oladokun further said that Christ's ascension to heaven is another cornerstone in the Christian faith, saying that it is unfortunate that only few Christians seem to realise the importance of His ascension.

At His ascension, according to Pastor Oladokun, Jesus was proclaimed Lord over everyone and over any sickness or pandemic.
