Go back to the source: Pastor Ajayi charges ministers to rekindle apostolic power through Holy Spirit, prayer

Pastor Stephen Ajayi

Ministers of God in Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, have been urged to return to the fountain of God’s power for a fresh outpouring of Apostolic manifestations — just like in the days of the founding fathers.

This charge was given by Pastor Stephen Ajayi, Ph.D., DCC Superintendent of CAC Igando DCC, during a powerful prayer revival session at the 2025 Pearce Region Leadership Summit.

In his message, Pastor Ajayi emphasized the centrality of the Holy Spirit and fervent prayer in sustaining true Apostolic ministry. He lamented that many ministers have now replaced these foundational elements with methods, strategies, and academic knowledge.

“The Holy Spirit is the backbone of our ministry, and prayer was the hallmark of our fathers — the legacy they handed down to us,” he said.

The cleric noted that many spiritual attacks and struggles facing ministers today are the result of prayerlessness, lack of Holy Spirit baptism, carnality, and ungodliness.

He recounted inspiring testimonies of past CAC leaders whose ministries were rooted in deep spiritual discipline.
