It was a spiritually charged atmosphere as ministers of God in Christ Apostolic Church, Pearce Region, Lagos, Nigeria gathered for this year’s edition of the Leadership Summit, aimed at sharpening their spiritual effectiveness through impactful lectures and fellowship.
In his Welcome Address, the Regional Superintendent, Pastor S.O. Aluko, charged ministers not to align themselves with strange gods, cultures, or practices that are alien to godliness.
He warned against anything that defiles holiness, justice, and evangelism, emphasizing the need for unwavering spiritual integrity.
Pastor Aluko also reminded ministers of God’s unfailing promise to be with them in every situation.
He encouraged them to stand firm in the Lord despite opposition, criticism, harassment, poverty, sickness, or the pressure from obstinate and stiff-necked individuals.
In his first lecture, Pastor Aluko emphasized the importance of adapting to new communication technologies, urging leaders to leverage modern tools for better communication, collaboration, and decision-making.
He stressed the need for leaders to understand the social implications of technological change in their ministry.
Another highlight was a lecture by Pastor Seyi Adeyemi, Zonal Superintendent of Worship Centre Zone, who spoke on the topic: “How to Prepare for Retirement in the Ministry.” His teaching addressed and corrected several erroneous impressions about ministerial retirement.
The summit was well-attended by DCC Superintendents, Zonal and District Superintendents, and ministers across the region.
