Topic: To Enjoy God - Grow
Text: Mtt.17:14-21, Act 5:12-16
Introduction: Life is in stages/levels, and men are in sizes/classes, great men of today that we look up to will soon leave the stage for others to take over and do it better.
Jesus said in John 14:12 "very truly, I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the father.
The ability to do all these greater things is in us, we only need to grow and activate it.
The two passages of the bible read, gave us two different stories about the disciples of Jesus Christ.
The same people who were mocked and seen as failure are being hailed in no distance time, what has brought about the changes - growth.
All the promises of the Scriptures are possible for you if you can grow.
I. Small beginning is normal. - Job 8:7
A.) Baby Christian are Christian - 1Cor. 3:1
B.) God frown when you refused to grow - Heb 5
II. Put in place growth mechanism
A.) Give yourself to daily devotion -Act 2:46
B.) Give yourself to Bible reading - Jos 1:8
C.) Give yourself to fasting & prayer - Matt. 17:21
D.) Give yourself to studying the Bible - 2 Tim 2:15
E.) Give yourself to total dedication - Act 4:42
F.) Grow your faith - Mtt. 17:20
G.) Say No to sin - Rm. 13:14, Eph.4:27
III.Exercises your faith. Act. 3:6
A. Take step of faith in all areas Acts 3 : 6
B. God is faithful,he will not fail you. 1Thes. 5: 24;
C. Always remember you are a steward. Matt. 25 : 19;
Conclusion:
The gap between you and where you are meant to be tomorrow is called development, The distance can be covered in no time, just keep moving. It is your turn to shine. Continue to grow in all areas of your life.
