Authorities of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, has inducted Pastor Joshua Segun Adefila as the Superintendent of CAC Ijebu Igbo District Coordinating Council (DCC) on Sunday, August 14, 2022.

Remarkable and memorable day it was for members, friends and associates of the Ijebu Igbo DCC under the auspices of Essien Region, who were full of hopes and high praises to God.

After a warm and rousing welcome from the church led by the Royal Shepherd parade, the Essien Regional Superintendent, Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin who represented the Church Authority conducted the induction rites for the second Superintendent of Ijebu Igbo DCC, Pastor J. S. Adefila.

In his welcome address, the DCC Secretary, Pastor F. A. Adeeko, who admitted they had been anticipating such glorious day, expressed gratitude to God, the Church Authority, while he congratulated the new and prayed for the inductee.

Stating the achievements of the new DCC Superintendent since his appointment in January 2020, Pastor Adeeko said, "Pastor Adefila upgraded CAC Oke-Igbala, DCC headquarters musical instruments; re-strengthening of DCC executives and finance committee; creation of new centre known as Prayer Center, Awa-Ijebu; re-modeling of DCC headquarters altar to wear modern and befitting new look; procurement of new model Siena car for DCC; construction and roofing of English Assembly; construction of prayer power house at DCC headquarters with a room apartment; visitation to all District headquarters,, and assemblies in Oke-Agbo District; re-strengthening the co-operation, unity and love inherited from his predecessor; planting of two new assemblies, one at Ago-Iwoye and the other at Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo respectively."

While ministering at the induction service on the topic "But What Do you think?" from the text Matthew 21: 28-32, the Regional Superintendent of Essien Region, Pastor Isaac Olu Eyebiokin who gave an explicit background of the text, harped that the sons of God are the born again in Christ, who have been given to commission to go out and evangelize the word of God.

Speaking on Matthew 21:28, Pastor Eyebiokin stated that, "this is the only commission God has put in our hands. The person asking question here is God the Father. We are the sons and the vineyard is this world. God has called and He is still calling us today into His vineyard to work for Him. Have we agreed to do His work? If yes, how are we doing this work? The ministers of God who have accepted God's call, what are they doing now? Out of the 24 hours given to man per day, how many hours do they spend for God's work? Let everyone know that anyone called by God but refuses to do the work is only asking God for better, if not, the best replacement. The end of such is always bitter and full of sorrows. Are we really doing the work God has called us to do?"

The Essien Regional Superintendent, who compared many lives to the Biblical fig tree full of leaves with no fruits, urged the congregants to repent and turn from the wrong path in order to enjoy meaning and fruitfulness in the service of God.

"Everyone in all departments of the church has his responsibility to perform. No one must be indolent or lazy as this is fatal," he said.

Quoting Acts 3:19 which says "repent he therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord," Pastor Eyebiokin concluded that, "this is the time to repent, turn a new leaf and return with a committed heart to the work God has called us into."

In his closing remark, the newly inducted DCC Superintendent, Pastor Joshua S. Adefila thanked God for everything and also appreciated the District Superintendents, every member of the DCC, the planning committee led by Pastor S. B. Ologun (D/S of Oke Iye Ojowo), ministers of God, members of every departments in the church, his family and everyone who honored him with their presence.
