A total number of 100 students graduated at the 22nd Convocation Ceremony of Christ Apostolic Church Theological Seminary (CACTS), Ibadan Campus on Saturday October 24, 2020.

The 100 graduands comprised 52 degree students, 16 diploma and 32 Certificate Students.

While ministering at the convocation ceremony, the General Superintendent, CAC Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele said the problems of the ministry are impatience and jealousy.

He further said that patience is one of the keys needed in the ministry, encouraging the graduands to imbibe patience in the ministry.

Pastor Oladele also implored them to beware of vices of jealousy which he said is one of the major killers of ministry.

The Coordinator of CACTS Ibadan Campus, Pastor Stephen O. Ajayi while delivering his address told the gruduands that they are the eyes of God on earth, therefore, wherever they find themselves as the Ministers of God they should live a godly life, be God-fearing and always lead by example.

He further stressed that they should always remember the sound theological training they have passed through, saying they should preach undiluted word of God and live by it.

“In every difficult situation, look unto God in prayers, learn how to persevere and endure hardship when the need be. Obey your leaders and do not be rebellious. Remember you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation and a peculiar people, therefore show forth the praise of Him, Who has called you and He will be with you always,” he stated.

The Provost, CAC Theological Seminary, Pastor S.O.A. Afolabi told the gruduands that aside being possessed with the power of the Holy Spirit with which they can pull down strongholds, raise standard against the wiles of the devil and effectively preach the Gospel, he said they should also know that education is the most powerful weapon which they can use to change the world.

He however lamented that "many had used the education they acquired to cause wreckage to ecclesiological, political and economic systems. This is evident in the current deplorable state of Nigeria and the body of Christ at large. The world is in dire need of the Saviour (Jesus Christ). Having been theologically groomed and spiritually imparted, you have joined the lucky ones called into the business of God as well as the world of the intellectuals, to bring about positive and godly transformation. You shall be admitted and conferred soonest by the designated authorities of the Seminary having fulfilled all requirements both in character and learning.”

The Chairman, Governing Council, CAC Theological Seminary, Pastor E.S. Famuyide charged the graduands to preach the gospel without adulteration or sentiment and pray like apostles and CAC founding fathers.

He also said that they should be innovative, should not follow unnecessary traditions that are baseless in the Bible, keep their family intact and be heavily focused and emphasise the primacy of holiness and shun the quest for materialism which is the order of the day.
