The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Calvary Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Delta State,  Pastor M.K. Ehinmode has urged all Christians across the globe to develop a cordial relationship with God, saying that God is more interested in our communion with Him than the work we do for Him.

He noted that any work we are doing in God's house is good, but He is more interested in the time we spend with Him, that is, during our quiet time.

Pastor Ehinmode noted this while ministering on the topic "It is time to seek the Lord" on Sunday May 24, 2020.

The Cleric further said God wants us to spend more time with Him during our devotions, adding, that was the lifestyle of Jesus Christ while on earth.

According to him, Jesus after ministering to the multitude will always be in the wilderness or mount to commune with the father (God).

The Cleric said today's Christians are more concerned with the things of the world, instead of going to God for daily renewal.

While quoting the book of Isaiah 40:30-31 which says "Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint," Pastor Ehinmode said God wants us to wait upon Him.

"Waiting time before the Lord is not a wasted time because He will always renew your strength. How regular is your daily devotion or quiet time?" the Cleric asked.

He also said everything on earth is temporal and will fade away, noting that what is topmost in the hearts of some people is how to make money.

He further said that the money, wealth and degrees one has will end in this world, and we are all going to leave this world as we came.

Pastor Ehinmode noted that in a time like this when the whole world is confused, we need God more than ever before, adding that God has the solution that is above human speculations.

While commenting on why we must seek the Lord, Pastor Ehinmode said "seeking the Lord is a commandment to us. It is not an option or suggestion. There is nothing more important in this world than to seek the Lord. Christians of today are spiritually malnourished and that is why we need to seek the Lord. Seeking the Lord has become a taboo to some. God desires that we should seek Him in prayers, in His word and other spiritual exercises. "
