This is a New Year message from the stable of High Height Hour. And I'm welcoming everyone to another glorious year that God is set to restore us and cause His face to shine upon us. And my prayer is that God who has brought us this far will not abandon us in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. I will be speaking this time as a New Year message on Restore us, O Lord God of hosts, reading from Psalm 80 from the NKJV.
Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, You who lead Joseph like a flock; You who dwell between the cherubim, shine forth!
Before Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh, Stir up Your strength, And come and save us!
Restore us, O God; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!
O Lord God of hosts, How long will You be angry Against the prayer of Your people?
You have fed them with the bread of tears, And given them tears to drink in great measure.
You have made us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies laugh among themselves.
Restore us, O God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!
You have brought a vine out of Egypt; You have cast out the nations, and planted it.
You prepared room for it, And caused it to take deep root, And it filled the land.
The hills were covered with its shadow, And the mighty cedars with its boughs.
She sent out her boughs to the Sea, And her branches to the River.
Why have You broken down her hedges, So that all who pass by the way pluck her fruit?
The boar out of the woods uproots it, And the wild beast of the field devours it.
Return, we beseech You, O God of hosts; Look down from heaven and see, And visit this vine.
And the vineyard which Your right hand has planted, And the branch that You made strong for Yourself.
It is burned with fire, it is cut down; They perish at the rebuke of Your countenance.
Let Your hand be upon the man of Your right hand, Upon the son of man whom You made strong for Yourself.
Then we will not turn back from You; Revive us, and we will call upon Your name.
Restore us, O Lord God of hosts; Cause Your face to shine, And we shall be saved!
Whenever we read through the Old and the New Testament, the flock is seen as the people of God as recorded in psalms 23 line 1. The request made by the psalmist here is that the Lord might lead His people through this crisis as He led them safely through the wilderness. He led the way by the ark typifying the throne of God as seen in Numbers 10:33 and the cloud, which is the shining forth of the glory of God. The psalmist asked the Lord to "stir up His might" and bring salvation to His people which reminds us of the words of Moses whenever the camp sets out, they will declare, "Rise up, O Lord! May your enemies be scattered" as recorded in Numbers 10:35,
And on this I stand to decree that all the enemies of the church shall scatter in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the “shining of His face” as recorded in the psalm, presents to us that when God hides His face, there is trouble
I pray that as from today, the face of God shall shine on our church CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH WORLDWIDE and all churches of Jesus Christ here on earth in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
It is obvious that the church of Jesus Christ is facing lots of attack both physico-spiritual and self imposed. But my prayer for the church is that, is coming out of them all in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah! Reading through the last line which says, return us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause your face to shine; and we shall he saved, Which is the watchword for my church, CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH WORLDWIDE for the Year 2018, here, the psalm is closed by the refrain in its third and most perfect form. First we had, "return us again, O God” in line 3; then, "return us again, O God of hosts" in line 7; and now, "return us again, O Lord God of hosts". The appeal to God continually increasing in intensity, having made his third appeal by the covenant Name, the psalmist pleads that Gods people be restored to their former state of blessing and fellowship in this new year with the Lord.
On this I decree that every good virtue that the devil seems to have stolen from my church CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH WORLDWIDE and the church of Jesus Christ be restored as we enter into this new year 2018 in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
THE BIBLE SAYS the church is marching on and the gate of hell shall not prevail over her. On this I stand to declare that CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH WORLDWIDE shall march on and the gate of hell shall not and cannot prevail over her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I decree, this year of restoration shall yield increase of positive things to you and all your household in Jesus' name
All that you've lost is restored right now in Jesus' name
From every angle where you've been plundered, take back your loot in Jesus' name
I decree, you are the next to give testimony of good things and before the first 21day of the year, all your foes shall be publicly be put to shame in Jesus' name
Hallelujah! Let me use this opportunity to also reach out to the authority of my church, headed by my amiable, astute, church fathers preacher, PASTOR ABRAHAM OLUKUNLE AKINOSUN, The PRESIDENT, CAC WORLDWIDE, to say happy new year sir, and the general superintendent of the church, a resolute teacher of the word, PASTOR S.O. OLADELE, our amiable grace-found General Evangelist, PROPHET HEZEKIAH OLADEJI, the always on guard general secretary, PASTOR E.E. MAPPUR and my ever accurate finance director, PASTOR J.F OMITINDE, happy new year sirs.
To all national officers of the church, the Superintendents, inclusive of my DCC Superintendent; Pastor A. O. AKANNI, all ministers in Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, and the church of Jesus Christ allover the world, I say compliments of the season.
