In obedience to God's directive through church authority, the 2024 National Prophetic Day was held at designated venues worldwide on Friday, April 26, 2024.
Organized by the World Evangelistic Outreach of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, the 24-hour non-stop prayer program was themed "Kingdom Mandate."
Our correspondent, who covered four venues in Ibadan, reported encouraging attendance at Ashi, CAC Oke Agbara, Adamasingba, CAC Adamasingba DCC headquarters, Olode, CAC Agbala-Itura DCC headquarters, and Oke-Ado, CAC Oke-Ibukun, Oke-Ado DCC headquarters.
According to Pastor J.O. Makinwa, Secretary of CAC World Evangelistic Outreach, the programme was observed across designated venues in Nigeria and overseas.
While ministering at the venues using Luke 11:1 as his text, Pastor Makinwa emphasized that prayer is the way to channel one's thoughts and concerns to God.
He highlighted Jesus Christ as the ultimate prayer warrior, who prayed frequently in the presence of His disciples, inspiring them to ask Him to teach them how to pray.
Pastor Makinwa, who alongside a member of the evangelical team, Prophet J.O Popoola visited venues of the programme in Ibadan noted that Nigeria has various prayer mountains where CAC's founding fathers used to pray, leaving a lasting impact.
He expressed concern that the zeal and passion for prayer have dwindled, saying, "What we are missing today is prayers like the days of our founding fathers... We need people in our generation who can gather together to pray for another revival in our generation." He emphasized the need to revive the apostolic firebrand prayer, stating, "Prayer is our weapon."
The programme aimed to reignite the passion for prayer and revive the fading practices of the church's founding fathers.
