The 50th birthday celebration of the Pastor-in-charge, CAC Ile Aanu Odo Ona Elewe, Ibadan, Pastor John Omoniyi Oluwatowoju, held at Bollads Events Centre, New Garage, Ibadan, on Saturday May 10, 2025 was nothing short of pomp and pageantry.
In the face of clerics, church members, families, and friends of the celebrant, the event took the turn of thanksgiving and testimonies of God's greatness and faithfulness.
During a brief worship service held to appreciate God, the minister who exhorted on Psalms 66:8,9,12, explained the stages of life, growth and development from childhood to youthfulness, to adulthood, and stage close to death.
Powerful prayer session for the celebrant and his family followed suit by clerics in attendance.
After the service, reception followed suit emceed by popular radio broadcaster, a.k.a. EOB alongside Ambassador and Mallam, who thrilled the audience to laughter amid the celebrations.
Cutting of cake, presentation of gifts, family appreciation of the celebrant, and testimonies about the celebrant also characterised the event.
Taking the vote of thanks, Pastor Oluwatowoju appreciated God who has called him into the ministry since 1994, and escaping the evil plans of the devil over his life over the years.
He acknowledged the faithfulness of God, noting his reason for celebration as victory over the plans of death for him.
The cleric appreciated his family and friends, wellwishers and his church, and all and sundry for their attendance and wishes. He further capitalised his appreciation for his wife who according to him, married him when he was nothing, celebrating 22 years of marriage.
Born on May 7, 1975, in Ilogbo Ekiti, Ekiti State, Pastor Omoniyi Oluwatowoju attended CAC St. John Primary School in Ilogbo Ekiti, Ilogbo High School for his secondary education; Babajide School of Prophets and Evangelists, Ilesa; Assemblies of God Bible College, Iperu Remo; and CAC Theology Bible College, Ibadan.
He was ordained as Pastor in CAC in 2001, he has served as Assistant Pastor at CAC Ile Anu Valentino, Ondo; Assistant Pastor at CAC Oke Iyanu Ajanla, Ibadan; Pastor-in-charge at CAC Ile Aanu Ojodu; Pastor-in-charge at CAC Oke Iyanu Ajanla, and currently Pastor-in-charge at CAC Ile Aanu Odo Ona Elewe, Ibadan.
For over three decades, Pastor Oluwatowoju has exemplified resilience against adversity, dedicating his life to spreading the gospel and shepherding congregation across SouthWest of Nigeria.
The journey of his life stands as a testament to faith, perseverance, and divine grace.
His union with his wife is blessed with three children, Precious, Mercy and Rachael.
