The Regional Superintendent designate, CAC Babalola Region and DCC Superintendent of CAC Oke-Ado DCC, Pastor Gabriel S. Dada has been inducted as the Chairman of Christian Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (CPFN)/Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Oyo State chapter.

The new executives of CPFN/PFN were inaugurated yesterday at CAC Oke-Ado DCC headquarters, Ososami, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Pastor Dada, along with the new executives, are expected to pilot the affairs of the christian body for the next four years. The official inauguration service was conducted by the former Chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Oyo State chapter, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun. The service had in attendance the immediate past Chairman of CPFN/PFN Oyo State, who currently serves as the Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region, Pastor Benjamin Akanmu.

While Pastor Dada was inducted as the Chairman, the President of The Men of Issachar Vision (MIV), Reverend Samson Ajetomobi was inducted as the Deputy Chairman, while Rev. Francis Adesola is the Secretary, alongside many others.

Ministering at the programme, Bishop Adelakun charged the congregation on imbibing godly character, saying character is superior to charisma.

He noted that it's manifested in diverse ways, explaining that it's measured by the words of our mouth.

He added that "nothing defines a man than words of his mouth. Our words must not be idle. Words are capable of destroying the whole body. You're defined by your words. For anybody that will be used of God, character is very important. You can't go far without good character. You can make noise with charisma. The easiest way to expire is to lose character."

Bishop Adelakun said that character is measured by the vision we have, saying that many people have sight not insight.

"Insight is superior to sight. The true worth of a man is not in the physical eyes, but spiritual eyes. Vision is what defines you. It helps you to know what you can stand for or stand against. When you see a visionless man he doesn't have what he can stand for or he stands against. Visionless people have no discipline. It's only people of Vision that have discipline," the Clergyman further said.

He also said that character is measured by principle and no one can be a man of character without being a man of principle.

He added: "there are principles in the Bible and anyone who breaks principles can't be a principal."

Bishop Adelakun stated that character can be measured by values. He opined that our nation is losing values and the church must be at the centre of safeguarding the values.

In his inaugural speech, Pastor Dada said: "it gladdens my heart to give this inaugural speech as the newly appointed Chairman of CPFN/PFN, Oyo State chapter. Foremost, I give glory to God Almighty because no one receives anything except it is given from above. I do not take His grace for granted."

Pastor Dada appreciated the Body of Christ for the confidence reposed in him, saying he was not the most qualified person for the position, promising he will live up to expectations by the grace of God.

Speaking on the goals of the administration in the next four years, Pastor Dada disclosed that it's unification of the bloc (CPFN and PFN effectively), organization of regular seminars, retreats and prayers, and creating awareness about activities of CPFN/PFN.

In order to take the body of Christ to greater heights, Pastor Dada solicited the maximum cooperation and unflinching support of all stakeholders.
