It was a wonderful moment as songs of praises were on the mouth of everyone at the 50th anniversary of Christ Apostolic Church, Mount of Victory, Kosofe Districts' Cordinating Council (DCC), held on Sunday, 14th of August, 2022, at the DCC Headquarters.

The anniversary celebration, which started on the 7th, August 2022 with a revival programme ended with thanksgiving on Sunday, where awards of appreciation were given to dignitaries, including the past DCC Superintendent, Pastor S. A Adedayo; Pastor M. O Olatunde, Pastor M.A Ogundeji, and Pastor J. G Miller.

As special recognition was given to Pa Brown (Baba ijo), one of the foundational members of the church, and Deaconess C.Y Bamisaiye (Iya ewe), posthumous awards were given, Pastor F. B Aiyedibe, Pastor N. A Omopariola and Deaconess J. A Banjo.

In his welcome address, the DCC Superintendent, Pastor Gideon Oyewole Obiwale welcomed everyone present at the special occasion, expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and unending love towards the church.

He also appreciated the foundational members and everyone who are part of the success story of the church since inception.

"To celebrate 50 years means God has been good to this church and His hand of help is working with her," he said.

Making reference to Hebrews 6:10 which says "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister," Pastor Obiwale admonished the congregants to note that God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook their labour and love shown for His name sake in ministering to the needs of the saints.

The cleric encouraged his audience to contribute generously towards God's project in the great assembly as God loves a cheerful giver.

The Regional Superintendent, CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor S. A Adedayo, while delivering the sermon on the topic "To God be the Glory" from the text 1 Chronicles 16:29, said to give glory to something means we have benefited something from that thing.

Citing King David as an example, Pastor Adedayo who gave reasons the king called the Israelites to give thanks to God, related four important points from the text to the congregants, "the importance of Ark of Covenant among the Israelites; how the enemies took the ark away; how the ark was returned back to its normal position; the importance of the speech of David when he was giving glory to God."

He furthered that, "the importance of the ark of covenant is because God wanted to be protecting, speaking, providing and lastly, He wanted to be dwelling among them (Exodus 25:8; Exodus 29:45-46)."

The Regional Superintendent stated according to the text, King David took some substances for his thanksgiving which must be emulated in our generation today.

"The first is, when giving glory to God, we must bring offering alongside while the second one is to worship God in the beauty of His Holiness. We must live a holy life, a life that will glorify Him," he said.

According to him, "We all know the importance of 50 years in the Bible, and that God commanded the Israelites to celebrate the golden jubilee in wonderful ways."

Pastor Adedayo told the congregants that ordinary lips are not enough to glorify God and what makes one's thanksgiving to be acceptable before God is deep thought and thanksgiving from a clean heart without being forced.

Notable persons present at the anniversary are, the Regional Superintendent, CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor S.A Adedayo; Pastor M.O Olatunde, Pastor M.A Ogundeji and Pastor J.G Miller.
