Pastor Akinyomi, stated this last week while speaking on the topic "MEN’S RESPONSIBILITY: GROWING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD" at the CACMA Conference of Akinyele Region.
The cleric expressed that, "nothing has ever fascinated people from childhood to adulthood more than the knowledge of God," adding that such questions as "Who is God? Can God be known? How can we discover Him?" are most important questions anyone will ever ask.
The minister who stated that the most important thing in the world is for every Christian to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, highlighted some of the importance of growing in the knowledge of God as, "The knowledge of God is at the heart of salvation and all true spiritual experience; Christ came to bring us the knowledge of God; the knowledge of God can keep us from sin; the Knowledge Of God Is essential to Christian growth; the knowledge of God is our greatest privilege."
The clergyman categorized that, "in all Christians Christ is present; in some Christians Christ is prominent; but in few Christians Christ is preeminent, and yet that is God’s desire for every Christian."
He also shared with his audience, the principles governing the knowledge of God in a growing believer, stating them as, "God alone is the Author of our knowledge of Himself; the Knowledge of God involves spiritual wisdom and understanding; the knowledge of God requires patience and a teachable Spirit; and the Knowledge of God cannot be separated from faithfulness of God."
Pastor Akinyomi presented certain points as responsibilities for Christians to grow in the knowledge of God, "you must spend time in the Word; you must spend time in Worship; you must spend time In Prayer; you must spend time learning from others; and you must depend on the Holy Spirit."
