The Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, has inducted Pastor Moses Adebayo Ajayi as the Superintendent of CAC Ketu Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ketu, Lagos.

Pastor Ajayi, who is the 3rd Superintendent of Ketu DCC, was inducted on Sunday, June 12, 2022 by the Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor S.A. Adedayo, representing the Church Authority.

It was a colorful event that attracted the presence of family, friends and well wishers, including members of churches where Pastor Ajayi had formerly worked.

It would be recalled that Pastor Ajayi, formerly at Mushin DCC was transferred by the Church Authority to Ketu DCC after the immediate past Superintendent of Ketu DCC, Pastor Adedayo was appointed as the Regional Superintendent of Akinyele Region.

The Regional Secretary of Akinyele Region, Pastor Elisha Oluseyi Oyedeji while ministering at the programme on the topic "Love builds up the Church" from the text from 1st Corinthians 8, said there must be love in the house of God between the clergy and the church members.

Pastor Oyedeji who appreciated the Akinyele Regional Superintendent for the privilege to give the message at the programme further said that Christ died on the cross of Calvary by a way of showing His love to mankind, therefore, it is a must to love one another.

The Cleric told Pastor Ajayi that; "you are in a right church. God helped Baba M.O. Yusuff and Baba Adedayo to succeed here and I have no doubt success is yours. Be like a Soldier. Be bold. Let your braveness be harder than before. I know the Spirit of God is in you and you love the Word of God and this church also love the Word. Keep building the church in love. Show love to the members and the church will keep on moving."

Pastor Oyedeji who is the Superintendent of Somolu DCC, stated that the Church is the redeemed of the Lord such that if the church would continue and grow, love must be permitted; adding that where there is no love, the church would not move forward.

He urged Pastor Ajayi to show love to everyone in the church, knowing fully well that there are different kinds of people in the church of God.

The Cleric also told the congregation that knowledge without love leads to pride of intellect, but knowledge with God leads to humility; adding that; "as followers, you must not look for the downfall of your leaders to prove that you have love."

He said; "if we are to continue building the church of God, we must know that knowledge must be moral, knowledge doesn't determine who is right or wrong, knowledge is used morally when combined with love; knowledge is used immorally when combined with pride; and knowledge is used immorally when condemning others for non-essential things."

The Secretary of CAC Ketu DCC, Elder Sefunmi Adewumi said, CAC Oke-Igbala, Ketu DCC Headquarters started as a House fellowship in the year 1974, at a temporary shop at No 1, Olatunji Ige Street, Ketu, which was later moved to 37. Ikosi Road, Ketu.

He further disclosed that; "the fellowship later moved to its present site, 71/73, Ikosi Road, Ketu, Lagos on 31st December, 1979. CAC Ketu District came into being in April 1996 having been granted autonomy from the old Itire District. Pastor J. O Babayemi was the pioneer District Superintendent, who left here for Oshodi on the 16th April, 1998. Late Pastor J.O Oladele of blessed memory was the 2nd District Superintendent that served here from 1998 to 2004, and was later transferred with promotion to ljebu-ljesha as a Chairman."

"Pastor M. O Yusuff took over the mantle of leadership from 1st of June 2004 as the 3rd District Superintendent and was later promoted to the position of a Chairman in the year 2007. Ketu Districts became a zone on the 1st of November, 2007 from Itire DCC under the then leadership of Pastor M. A. Adeoye (Rtd). Pastor M.O Yusuff was the first Zonal Superintendent with the old five Districts in the Zone. Ketu Zone was elevated to Ketu DCC on 1st March, 2015 with five districts," he continued.

According to Elder Adewumi, "In January 2018, Pastor S. A. Adedayo was transferred to Ketu DCC as the Superintendent. CAC Mowe and CAC Abiodun Ojodu Districts were upgraded to Zones in 2018 and Mercy-land Akute followed suit in July 2021. Above development also birthed the creation of more Districts for the DCC; God's Grace Magboro became a District on the 25th of March 2021 while Imagbon, Life of Peace and Igbo-Olomu Districts were all upgraded to Districts on the 28th December 2021 and Mercy-land Alapere Districts came into being first quarter of 2022."

"As at today we are presenting to you the twelve (12) Districts under Ketu DCC. As a responsive and responsible DCC, coupled with our God-fearing leaders at Districts in Council level, we assure you of our unflinching support and promise you that we will align our strategies and spiritual commitment with your vision," he added.

Yusuff; retired and former Superintendent of Yaba DCC, Pastor D.O. Obafemi; Itire DCC Superintendent, Pastor Gideon O.
