The authorities of Christ Apostolic Church has inducted Pastor & Mrs. Kilyobas B. Yunana as Orekoya Regional Superintendent on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.
Pastor Yunana succeeds Pastor C.S.A. Balogun, the Pioneer Regional Superintendent of Orekoya Region, who retired after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 75.
The General Superintendent of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi was present in his official capacity to administer the induction rite at the regional headquarters, in Jos, Plateau State.
In his sermon, "A Man Over the Congregation" Pastor Odejobi stressed the need for a shepherd, distinguishing betweening and ability and availability.
He outlined important points, regarding appointing a leader who will lead, guide, and nurture the congregation.
He charged Pastor Yunana with his new role, emphasizing his divine selection and urging congregational support, love, and tolerance for regional growth.
The General Superintendent's sermon also touched on generosity, unity, living by faith and scripture, and warned against covetousness.
The spirit led sermon was immediately followed by prayer by the General Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur.
BIOGRAPHY OF PASTOR KILYOBAS BUBA YUNANA
Pastor Kilyobas Buba Yunana was born on February 9, 1961, in Bokkos LGA, Plateau State. His extensive education includes primary and secondary schooling, culminating in a Bachelor's degree in Theology and Education.
His ministerial journey began in 1987, leading to his ordination in Pankshin. He served in various pastoral roles across Plateau and Niger States, steadily rising to District and Zonal Superintendent positions before becoming the DCC Superintendent in Bokkos (2015-2024), where his wise counsel earned him the nickname "Mai Ajuhu Tara." In November 2024, he was appointed the Regional Superintendent of Orekoya Region.
Beyond his pastoral duties, Pastor Yunana has held numerous leadership positions in education, government, and various church and community organizations at local and state levels, demonstrating a broad commitment to service.
He was also instrumental in establishing multiple new church assemblies and zones, fostering growth and leadership development within the church.
Married to Mrs. Asabe Linda Yunana since 1997, they have one son and have raised eleven other children.
