If for any reason you're rejected or neglected, rejoice because Jesus was "anointed" Christ because of someone like you, says Cleric

Pastor E. Olu Olorunpomi

The Regional Coordinator of Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Akinyele Region, Pastor E. Olu Olorunpomi has said anyone who feels unworthy, imperfect, rejected, neglected, despised or trampled should not discouraged.

He noted that such people should rejoice because Jesus was "anointed" Christ because of them.

Pastor Olorunpomi who is the Minister in Charge of Christ Apostolic Church, Eternal Praise Assembly, Alakuko, Lagos stated this in his Christmas message entitled "From Whom, For Whom?"

In his exact words: "Looking at the genealogy of Jesus, one is baffled to see the names all manner of mischievous, unscrupulous, undesirable people. Jesus did not come from a lineage of perfect people.

"The lineage started from Abraham. If he were perfect, God would not need to tell him to "walk before me and be thou perfect". Should we talk about Jacob the supplanter? Judah and his sons with the way they treated that innocent lady?

"Should we talk about the women mentioned in the genealogy? Rahab the harlot? The list is nauseating. But why did Jesus choose to come from the lineage of liars and cheats and imperfect people? The answer is simple: from whom He came determines for whom He comes!

"So, if for any reason you see yourself unworthy, imperfect, rejected, neglected, despised or trampled, this is your season to rejoice because Jesus was "anointed" Christ because of someone like you. Halleluyah!Rejoice! Shout it to others like you. Jesus loves and saves even me!"
