The DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Oniyo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ekiti State, Pastor Olu Akeju has advised all Christians who want to grow spiritually to stay off church politics and follow Jesus Christ.
In a chat with CAC NEWS, Pastor Akeju noted that church politicking is what some Elders engage themselves in today playing God out of the church with ideas that are not godly but making themselves maximum rulers controlling the ministers.
He noted that many elders no longer go to church for spiritual development nor for preparation for heaven but to fault the Pastors and count money etc.
He noted that some of them have time for meetings but no time for Bible Study.
Pastor Akeju added that "we now have political elders and not elders in the order of the Apostles as seen in the first set of Elders in Acts Chapter 6."
