The Senior Pastor, Christ Apostolic Church, Eternal Praise Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Olu Olorunpomi has advised all couples not to let their minds work against their marriage.
He noted that when your mind works against your marriage, you have lost it, you need to guard your heart, adding that couples should watch what they entertain.
Pastor Olorunpomi made this known recently while preaching on the theme "The Ideal Christian Home" at a Single and Married Seminar organized by CACYOF, Amazing Grace Zone, Ikorodu Lagos.
He said that the determinant of ideal Christian Home are the Word, faith, wisdom, understanding, love, the Secret Place (personal, couple and family altars), and fond memories (always remember how you started. Remember something and some things good your spouse has done in the past).
Others according to him are forgiveness, commitment (till death do us part) consciousness of your legacy/influence, communication (clarity is essential. No assumptions) and
association/Mentoring (adopt a matured father/mother or couple with marital testimonies).
While talking to the Singles, Pastor Olorunpomi said many singles are either scared of marriage or desperate to marry, adding that "when you are scared, you are smeared! (Job 3:25). On the other hand, desperation leads to frustration.
Marriage is created for you not the other way round."
The Cleric said singles should note that Ideal Christian Home is available, feasible, honorable, attainable/Possible, workable/do-able, sustainable, destructible and inexcusable (Once you are in, you are in).
