In a spiritually charged atmosphere marked by unity and jubilation, the congregation of Christ Apostolic Church, Isheri Olowora District gathered on Sunday, August 27, 2023, to witness the induction service of their new leader, Pastor Stephen Oludare Atoyebi.
The event, presided over by the Ojodu DCC Superintendent, Pastor Sunday Samuel Adeyemi who also conducted the induction rites, was a testament of the faith of the congregation, as they embraced their new District Superintendent with open hearts and joyful spirit.
The heart of the event was undoubtedly the sermon delivered by the Ojodu DCC Superintendent, who drew inspiration from the Biblical verses found in Philippians 2:12-13 which says, "therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."
With a captivating blend of wisdom and passion, Pastor Adeyemi expounded on the theme of "Obedience and Love," urging the congregation to walk in humility and fulfill their spiritual duties with reverence and diligence.
Emphasizing that through obedience to God's will and the cultivation of love within the community, the church could thrive and fulfill its purpose, the cleric explained that obedience to God is not a mere outward show, but a deeply personal commitment that requires sincerity and devotion.
He encouraged the assembly to obey the directives given by God through His minister, and to live out their faith with a sense of awe and reverence, acknowledging that God's transformative power was always at work within them.
The congregation presented gifts to their new Superintendent, signifying their warm welcome and support for his new role as the fourth cleric serving in that capacity.
With humility and gratitude, Pastor Atoyebi expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of love and affirmation from the congregation
