It was a day of celebrating God’s unfailing faithfulness at the 17th anniversary of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Ado Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC) headquarters English Mega Assembly, Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

The anniversary thanksgiving service which was held on Sunday May 16, 2021 had in attendance the DCC Superintendent of CAC Oke-Ado DCC, Pastor Gabriel S. Dada, Assembly Pastor of the English Mega Assembly, Pastor Ologunaye-Jacobs, Special Assistant to CAC President, Pastor Tunde Asokeji and many others.

In his message at the anniversary on the topic “Total Obedience to God’s Injunctions”, the DCC Superintendent of CAC Oke-Ado DCC, Pastor Dada said one’s attitude to the Word of the LORD will bring one under a blessing or under a curse, saying that everyone chooses which one they want.

According to him, obedience will bring anyone a blessing and disobedience will bring curse, noting that it’s just about the consequences everyone reaps for his or her choices.

While quoting Deuteronomy chapter 11, verses 26 to 28 which reads, “behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse: the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known” (NKJV), Pastor Dada said take this to heart that your obedience will bring a blessing upon you and make you a blessing to others and conversely, your disobedience will endanger the lives of other people.

“We see a perfect example of disobedience in Jonah.  The LORD told the prophet Jonah to go to Nineveh, a great city, and cry out against it because their wickedness had come up before Him. Instead of obeying the LORD, Jonah arose and went down to Joppa, found a ship going to Tarshish, and paid the fare, fleeing from the presence of the LORD! However, Jonah endangered the lives of others in the same ship with him on the high sea as the LORD sent out a great wind on the sea, which caused a mighty tempest so that the ship was about to be broken up. The storm only stopped after the culprit, Jonah, was discovered and, at his request, was thrown into the sea (Jonah 1:3-15).  Be careful; don’t let your disobedience endanger the lives of others including your spouse, children, and followers,’’ he noted.

The minister in charge of English Mega Assembly, Pastor Ologunaye-Jacobs while delivering the welcome address said: "a man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. This we have been enjoying here because no individual can boast of whatever he/she has, if not God working in and through such.”

He appreciated Pastor G.S and Mama R. T. Dada, the DCC Superintendent of Òkè Ado and wife for their love and life of examples shown and prayed that God would bless them in Jesus' name.

“I wholeheartedly appreciate the love shown to us and God's work by all the ministers of God of the two assemblies, I pray that our labour of love shall be rewarded in Jesus' name. I also appreciate the patron and matron of the Church: Elder J. Ó ISHOLA and Deaconess Ademusan Alabi. God bless you in Jesus' name. I want to sincerely appreciate the Board of Elders/Deacons and all our Deaconesses of both assemblies for their presence today and love so far for us and the Church. May God be with you all in Jesus' name.

To all the women, your joy shall be full and know no end, and to all our men, you shall not fall, fail and falter in Jesus' name

Oludare to Emmanuel Akpan, to J.F Anderson I pray that may God be with all of you wherever the authority of the Church has sent you in Jesus' name.
