Year 2021 is going to be a year of divine judgment, particularly for those in government - Pastor Oladokun

Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun

In this interview with CAC News, the DCC Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Itire Districts’ Coordinating Council (DCC), Itire, Lagos, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun speaks on his assessment of year 2020 and some other interesting issues. EXCERPTS!

What is your assessment of the year 2020 considering all the happenings from January till now?

My assessment for this year is that God is always in control of everything in the world no matter the calamity, pandemic, troubles or trials. God is God of every season and we thank Him because He really took control.

Many good prophecies were said about year 2020 by different ministers of God which majority of them never came to fulfillment. What do you think could be the cause of this?

I can’t answer that. In 2019 new year eve, God told me to tell the whole congregation that 2020 is going to be a tough year, but only the people that trust in Him would not have problem. As far as I am concerned, what God told me about 2020 was not palatable. Though we never knew what would happen as at that time, we had prepared ourselves. We thank God we were able to see the end of it.

What has God told you concerning year 2021?

God told me that 2021 is going to be a year of judgment particularly for those who are in government.  Everyone will receive his or her reward and that is why we should all be careful of what we do. Those who have been laboring for years, God told me they will receive the reward of their labour in 2021. Regardless of what the year may bring there is nothing that can stop God from doing what He intends to do.

It seems another lockdown is imminent due to the rise of COVID-19 cases in the country and across the globe. What is your advice to government at all levels?

For now I think Nigerian government is doing fine and they have been showing that they love their citizens. I don’t think they are ready to offend God this time around because they have allowed people to worship their God/gods.

Many people make resolutions at the beginning of every year, but those resolutions have not been able to stand the test of time. What do you think could be responsible for this?

It is due to the level of their faith. One of our songs says “peace, even though we don’t know tomorrow, but we know that God reigns forever.” If we have faith and everybody determines to enjoy God whatever that year may bring we will enjoy God.

Kindly tell us some of the special programmes planned by Itire DCC for year 2021?

We have in plans to have our yearly and monthly programmes. We are starting the year with Workers’ Retreat/seminar. We are also having retreat/seminar for Ministers and their Wives.  After then we are holding a crusade probably in the month of March. We shall be holding our annual Showers of Blessings programme from June to August. “A Night with General Evangelist of CAC Worldwide” programme  which holds on the 26th of December of every year has come to stay and I believe the General Evangelist will be with us next year. We also have so many other programmes like “December to Remember”, DCC refresher course and many others.

What is your advice for Pastor S.O. Oladele and Pastor E.O. Odejobi as they resume office as President and General Superintendent, respectively, of CAC Worldwide from January 1, 2021?

They are my fathers and I don’t know how I will advise them because I know they are children of God, godly leaders and they love the Church. I will just tell them that they should allow the love they have for the Church to continue. I pray for them that they will not lose the baton given to them and the Almighty God shall continue to be with them. They should continue as men of faith, men of love and they should be hardworking. I strongly believe things would go well for the Church.
