Topic: Where Will You End Your Life's Journey?
Text: Eccl. 3:1-2
Message:
From the text above, it is clear that everything under heaven, a particular time has been assigned to; which means nothing and nobody lives or will be forever except the Ancient of days Himself. Therefore, no matter how long you may be on this earth; you will eventually become one of those that has gone to great beyond (died) one day. One question you need to find solution to is 'what will be my life's end?' Is it Heaven or Hell? Let us examine two factors that determines the final state of one's life at the judgement day.
1. How you spend your lifetime: The way, the manner in which your life is spent here on earth qualifies you for the right place. The bible says, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death" (Prov. 14:12). If you are fulfilling the list of the flesh, you are spending your life wrongly. (Gal. 6:19-21). Know this, that many things the society consider right are not right with God. So, don't let 'majority carry the vote' be your standard. They are not consistent enough to plot the graph of your life's end.
2. Who is your master?: God or the Devil? Don't you know that anyone you obey at all times, wishing to please, always go to when trouble comes will be your master. What a man does or manifest actually depends on who gains the control over him.
"He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this...he might destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:18-19). If you are still living in sin, it shows that you are of the devil and also the servant of the devil, but I have a good news for you, you can be God's servant and child. How? By returning to God with a repentant heart.
"No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon" (Luke 16:13).
"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon" (Isa. 55:7).
Finally, the judgement day is coming very soon in which everyone shall give account for everything one has done on this planet earth either good or bad. But know and understand, the judge is not the devil but God, the creator of heaven and earth. He will separate the sheep from the goats; so please, don't slaughtered your eternity on the altar of present time.
I pray that God will be your Master and not the devil in Jesus name (Amen). Remember, if you want to end well, if you want to end your journey in heaven and spend your eternity there, you ought to give your life to Jesus Christ, for He is the way, the truth and the life; no man cometh unto the Father (God); but by Him. (John 14:6). Follow all His commandments and statues for He is your life and hope in this world and the world to come.
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood (corruption, sextual immorality, forgery etc), or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord" (Jos. 24:15).
"O that they were wise, that they understood this, they would consider their latter end!" (Deut. 32:29).
WHAT ABOUT YOU? - FOR HEAVEN IS REAL AND HELL IS REAL!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I know I am a sinner and I cannot save myself. I believe Jesus died for me and shed His blood to set me free. Today, I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. Save me, cleanse me, make me yours forever that I may live to please you all the days of my life and also be a partaker of your kingdom. Thanks you for saving me today! I am now born again! Hallelujah. Shalom.
