Christ Apostolic Church’s new Finance Director assumes office

Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Nigeria and Overseas has announced the appointment of Pastor Emmanuel Olusanya Olagunju as its new Finance Director

Speaking during the annual new year opening service of the CAC General Secretariat Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, on Monday January 5, 2026 the President of the Church, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, acknowledged the efforts of the immediate past Finance Director of the church, PastorJ.F. Omitinde in transforming the finance unit from a treasury into a directorate.

Pastor Olagunju comes with over three decades of valuable experience in finance management across various functions both in Nigeria and abroad.

The President applauded the smooth transition from the retired finance director to the new and encouraged members of staff, management and all stakeholders to extend the same hand of fellowship to the new Finance Director as was done to his predecessor.

In a remark, Pastor Olagunju described his appointment as a privileged call to service and assured the church of his commitment to faithfulness, accountability, and excellence. He thanked the Authority of the Church and promised to do his best not to disappoint God, not to disappoint the authorities of the church, and not to disappoint himself.

Pastor Olagunju is an ordained minister in Christ Apostolic Church and has served dutifully in various roles within the Church. 

Born in 1961, Pastor Emmanuel Olusanya Olagunju is a Fellow of both the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK) and Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. He holds an MBA in Technology Management from the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He became a Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA) in the UK in 1987 and a Chartered Accountant (ICAN) in Nigeria in 1991.

He attended Doherty Memorial Grammar School and graduated in June 1977. 

He worked in accounting practice abroad and in Nigeria with Deloitte, Akintola Williams & Co with diverse accounting, audit and taxation experience in manufacturing, banking, oil and gas as well as insurance and telecommunications.

He rose through the ranks at Societe Internationale De Telecommunications Aeronautiques (SITA) - a subsidiary of France Telecom to become the Regional Director for Anglophone West and East Africa and left in 2006 to go into private business. 

Pastor Olagunju is married to Adebobola and they are blessed with three children.
