The Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Orisun-Ife Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ibadan, Pastor J. Olu Makinwa has said ministerial health demands that Ministers of God must continually undergo training.

Pastor Makinwa who is the Secretary of World Evangelistic Outreach of CAC Nigeria and Overseas said Ministers of God must continually undergo three types of trainings in ministry which are formal trainings (in a Bible School),  informal trainings (through seminars and specialized courses) and non formal trainings (through proper mentoring, discipleship, accountability, apprenticeship etc.).

The Clergyman stated this while ministering on Thursday November 17, 2022 at the Fire Conference held at Orogun Regional Headquarters, Osogbo, Osun State on the topic "The Place of Quality Training and Retraining in the Ministry taking his text from Acts chapter 20 verses 17 to 36. Fire Conference is part of three days Osun State Mega Crusade organised by the World Evangelistic Outreach, CAC Orogun Region.

He noted that Apostle Paul provided quality training and retraining for the Ephesian Elders and ministers which he said it was the culmination of their three years training under the tutelage of the Apostle.

Pastor Makinwa said Lawyers, Medical Doctors/Nurses, Pilots, Engineers, and every profession that has to do with human lives mandatorily must go through training or else their licence will not be validated, saying that unfortunately, it's the ministers that handle eternal souls that don't value continuous trainings.

He added that some ministers preach or talk against it and do everything to minimise quality training in our churches.

Citing Hosea chapter 4 verse 6, the Cleric said when ministers or Church workers reject  knowledge of God through continuous trainings, God himself says He will reject their work.

He conclusively urged all ministers and workers in Christ Apostolic Church to key into the three points agenda of CAC President, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele which are reconciliation, evangelism and Trainings.
