In an atmosphere of thanksgiving and celebration of God's faithfulness, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Jesus is the Way of Salvation, Goodness District, came together to commemorate her 20th anniversary.
The joyous occasion which held at the District headquarters in Ibadan, on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, also coincides with the District Superintendent, Pastor Joseph Popoola's 30 years dedicated ministry of spreading the gospel which has left an indelible mark on the lives of many.
Pastor Popoola was among the passengers on board with General Evangelist Prophet Hezekiah Oladeji during the near-fatal plane crash on May 11, 2024, an experience for which he remains eternally grateful to God.
In his address, Pastor Popoola expressed gratitude and joy saying,
"It is both a profound honour and a humbling experience to celebrate thirty years in ministry and twenty years of our church anniversary together. It is indeed the celebration of God's faithfulness, love and grace in our lives."
"Thirty years ago, I answered the call of God to the ministry. It was a call driven with deep passion to serve and share the gospel of salvation brought about by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It has been a journey fraught with so many challenges and successes, which is a testament to (John 16:33) but in all, I stand before you today brethren," he added.
In his words of testimony, he recalled his humble beginnings, attributing his progress to God's grace and the invaluable support of the people God has placed around him.
Expounding on the topic "God is faithful" the General Overseer, Grace of God Pentecostal Church, Pastor Tunde Adesuyi, referencing Isaiah 25:1, underscored the unwavering nature of God's faithfulness, describing it as unparalleled, unquantifiable, and undeniable.
He emphasized that God's faithfulness was the underlying reason for the celebration, noting,
"What has brought us together today is His faithfulness. While Pastor Popoola shared some of the challenges he faced, he did not mention the life-threatening illness he overcame, which is another testimony of God's faithfulness in his life."
Pastor Adesuyi identified four keys that unlock God's faithfulness: mercy, giving, praise, and prayer.
He urged the congregation to hold fast to these keys, emphasizing that they are essential to experiencing God's unwavering faithfulness.
The occasion also featured prevailing prayers and song ministrations.
As token of appreciation, Pastor Popoola also presented awards of recognition and appreciation to the wife of CAC General Evangelist, Mrs. Esther Oladeji and wife of the Secretary to CAC Evangelical team, Mrs. S. A. Makinwa.
The occasion was dignified by the presence of esteemed ministers, including Sanngo DCC Superintendent, Pastor J.B. Agunbiade; Presiding Pastor, CAC Atamatase, Prophet Kayode Adio; Zonal Superintendent, CAC City of Joy zone, Pastor A.A. Oluwafemi; District Superintendent, CAC Canaanland, Akobo, Pastor David Olajide; other respected ministers from within and beyond the district as well as other distinguished guests.
