Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Ibukun, Oke-Ado Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Ibadan today, Friday June 17, 2022 started her annual Ministers and Workers Summit, 2022 edition.

The programme with the theme "Your Work Shall be Rewarded", held at the DCC headquarters in Oke-Ado, Ibadan had in attendance Ministers and their wives.

While ministering on the topic " Walking Together in the Commandments and Ordinances of God", the Music Director of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Tope Dada who was the Guest Minister admonished Ministers of God to walk and work together as a team with their wives.

Citing Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, the Cleric said God wants ministers and their wives to walk together as a team to achieve purpose.

"From our text, Luke 1:1-6, we saw Zechariah and Elizabeth, devoted couple both of priestly backgrounds. They were both diligent and faithful in their services to the Lord. They walked together in God's command despite their perennial challenges. They were commended for their righteousness, devoutness and integrity of hearts. It is a pleasant thing that they were not only joined together in marriage but were truly joined to serve in the ministry of the Lord. It is very important that Christian couples are united, devoted, righteous, and good examples to their flock. Zechariah and Elizabeth walked in all the commandments and ordinances of God What a great character displayed by this holy couple. May our actions be blameless, and our characters be genuine as men and women of God."

"The Christian ministry is teamwork between spouses especially in contemporary times. God uses the efforts of each team member in special ways, equally important, and unique. Zechariah and Elizabeth both shared the same vision, bom of collective wisdom, and accountability. In essence, this is the best way to walk together in the ordinances of God, with collective vision, working together in unity," he stated.

On Practical ways to walk together in God's commandments and ordinances, the CAC Music Director implored the ministers to give themselves first to God, then to their wives and walk perfectly before God (Genesis 17:1).

He further said they should fear God, be righteous in the face of challenges (Daniel 3:18), serve God in their different spectacular capacities; explaining that Zechariah as priest, Elizabeth as his ministry support, leading people in worship, God expects more from us as leaders of the church today and we should not be engaged in questionable characters, rather, we should be known for our stand and our obedience to God.

"Talk with your spouse about spiritual matters, not only on plans, children, finances, challenges but more importantly about the place of Christ in our lives. Express to your partner how much you love him/her and how grateful you are to God for him/her. Paul said: I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,Philippians 1:3. 6. Honestly bear the burden of one another. Teach each other good values and expose your spouse to the truth that God taught you from His Word. For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Appreciate the opportunities you both have to minister to people. Regularly remind yourselves how much you love each other. Expressing love brings joy and invite God's Spirit to your home (John 15:12). Serve God together. Aquila and Priscilla are one of God's finest couples to emulate. They were not famous but they were faithful. It is joyful that the husband and wife are serving God together as a couple. Acts 18:2)," he said.

A team spirit, according to Pastor Tope Dada is not accidental; it is intentional, stating that the success of the family depends largely on developing a deep sense of team spirit with your partner.

He added that, "research shows that collaborative problem-solving leads to better outcomes. People are more likely to take calculated risks that lead to Innovation and success if they have the support of their partner. Walking together is an incredible power of a unified team that encourages progress, increases satisfaction, reduces stress and create growth and strength."

Benefits of working and walking in His commandments and ordinances of God according to the Clergyman are, improved productivity, greater Synergy, overcome obstacles, improved service, gain new perspectives, build trust, enhanced conflict resolution, better result with greater reward, answer to prayers, unprecedented and outstanding miracles and good return for your labour.

The Superintendent of CAC Oke-Ado DCC, Pastor Gabriel S. Dada also emphasized on the fact that the ministry is a teamwork and no one can do it alone.

The programmme ended with a session where the ministers were asked to have deep discussion with their wives and pray together.

The Summit ends tomorrow with Ministers and Workers programme by 10am at the same venue.
