The President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has urged Christians to grow spiritually this year.

He also said that the word of God is able to see us through year 2022 and navigate the waters.

Pastor Oladele noted this while ministering on the topic "Go Your Way", taking the text from Daniel chapter 12, verses 9 &13 at the Crossover Service of CAC All Saints' Chapel, CAC General Secretariat, Ibadan, Oyo State.

He stressed that God will not give us a flashlight to see miles ahead of us, but He will guide us by His word

2022, according to him is a year that is very strange to us and we have never seen before, the normal thing is to peep into the future to know what happens in January and every month of the year and many people worry unnecessarily due to this.

"People want to go to Prophets who would see the future for them. They want to know what the future has for them as we enter into another year. People flood churches where there is prophecies. The same thing happened to Daniel. Daniel of all the Old Testament Prophets was distinguished for his insight into the future. It can be said that Daniel is the Old Testament contemporary John the Beloved. Daniel was shown so many things about the kingdom of this world, like their tenures and characteristics. "

He saw so many things, including the second coming of Christ and the great tribulation of the people of Israel, he saw the resurrection of the just and the unjust etc. Daniel was so much interested in the insight that he had to the future because so much has been revealed to him, he become curios he wanted to know more. It was when he was waiting to hear more from the Lord that the angel said 'Daniel, go your way, enough is enough.' We all like to know something about tomorrow and we are never satisfied with what is revealed unto us.*

"Sometimes we ask for more light to shine on our path. The Bible says 'your word is a lamp unto my feet.' That simply means when we walk with God, He will not give us a flashlight to see the future. It is only when we are not mature in the faith that we want a flashlight that will enable us to see miles ahead of us. God doesn’t deal that way. God may not reveal what happens in January or what will happen in any month of the year. God may decide to keep it away from you and any Prophet. He is the sovereign God, He alone does what He wishes. It does what He likes in His kingdom. We should not bother ourselves about what happens in the future. What will happen in year 2022 shouldn’t bother us. We should leave that to God," he stated.

The Cleric noted that, "As Christians we should walk by faith and not by sight. Let us grow up as children of God. Faith is not about seeing. Seeing is believing. If only we can read and meditate on the word of God we shall be guided. The word of God is able to see us through year 2022. The word of the Lord to us is as the same word He sent to Daniel and it is “go your way.” Daniel has his way. He was known for prayers, integrity, suffering and enduring persecution, etc. Go your way of faith, honesty, integrity, prayers, your way of suffering for the things of the kingdom etc. Don’t abandone it. Yesterday was just a end of a year, not end of faith, integrity, truth, service or prayers."

He concluded by saying that nobody knows what success is until the last breath and laid our sword at the feet of the master and we hear the voice that says “welcome, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your master.”
