It was a memorable day of history on Saturday August 28, 2021 when the Authority of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, dedicated the new church building of CAC, Mountain of Blessing, Adekitan District Headquarters, Mushin, Lagos.
The dedication of the ultra modern cathedral was conducted by the General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi.
The ultra modern building comprises a 1000-seater auditorium with gallery, 4 Children and juvenile halls, conference and board room, offices and three residential apartments for ministers with two guest rooms estimated at one hundred million naira.
While ministering at the programme, the General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Odejobi said the building is for the people of God to dwell with God, saying that without dwelling with Him there can't be glory.
He stressed that we must allow God to dwell in His temple like the days of old, adding that the first temple is our home, the second is His church while the third is our heart.
According to him, without Holy Spirit in us even if He is in the Church we will scatter or disrupt the whole thing.
Pastor Odejobi urged Ministers and members of CAC Adekitan District Headquarters to be biblical because being biblical won't make them to run after things that should run after them, noting that they should beware of inferiority complex.
Commenting on the situation of Nigeria, the General Superintendent stated that "if glory is showcased in Nigeria, it will take away our shame. It is the reprobate mind that has dragged us to this situation in Nigeria. We depend on our own human knowledge to rule. We are the ones making use of the constitution, not the constitution using us. Meanwhile, it is the constitution that ought to make use of us. Same thing is applicable to us in the Christendom, we are the one using the Bible, the Bible is not using us. We don't have time for our Bible again because we think our schedule is tight."
The District Superintendent of CAC Adekitan District, Pastor J.O. Oyepetun while delivering the welcome address appreciated God for making the dream a reality.
He also appreciated the General Superintendent of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Odejobi, Acting Regional Superintendent of CAC Akinyele Region, Pastor Samuel A. Adedayo, DCC Superintendent of CAC Ebute-Meta DCC, Pastor Gbenga Adelusi and many others for their presence.
He noted that the dedication of the building would not have taken place without Pastor J. Ola Omotosho, who initiated the construction of the new befitting auditorium and Pastor Benjamin A. Oladimeji who laid the foundation stone of the building five years ago.
Pastor Oyepetun who is the son of former and retired Regional Superintendent of CAC Babalola Region, Pastor M.O. Oyepetun also commended the project committee members for a job well done under the leadership of Elder and Engineer Tubosun Fashola for their tireless efforts and work.
He also said the cooperation from the Board of Elders and Ministers of CAC Adekitan has been awesome which has been source of inspiration and motivation always.
The Project Committee Leader of the Church, Elder Tubosun Fashola said in June 2021 they acquired a property after series of disappointment from real estate agents and property owners.
He said after thorough planning, phase-gating the project scopes into six stages and securing relevant government approvals, they engaged an experienced contractor, Climax Construct Nigeria Limited, through a competitive bidding process and signed the contract for the engineering and construction on December, 2016.
He disclosed that on 22nd December, 2016 the foundation of the Lord's house was laid by the former District Superintendent of CAC Adekitan District, Pastor Benjamin Oladimeji, Board of Elders, some Deaconesses and Church members.
Elder Fashola stated that the project faced different challenges, disappointments and adversities including spiritual, financial, social, regulatory bottlenecks and COVID-19 pandemic that almost halted the progress but by the special grace of Almighty God, and through the unwavering commitment and diligence of other members of the project committee, the generosity of project partners, former District Superintendent of CAC Adekitan, Pastor Omotosho, Pastor Ben Oladimeji and Pastor Oyepetun, other ministers and members of the church the dream of yester-years has become a reality.
In a bid to appreciate dedication and sacrifice to kingdom business, CAC Adekitan awarded some foundational members of the church who contributed their quota to the growth of the church.
