The General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Emmanuel Olatoro Odejobi has said it is important for every Christian to have assurance of salvation, saying that service without salvation is like a worker without employment letter, he or she will not be paid his due wages.

The General Superintendent stated this while ministering last week on the topic "Salvation before Service" at the Babajide International Ministerial Sharpening Conference (BIMSCON) 2021 organised by CAC  Babajide School of Prophets and Evangelists (CACTS Ilesa Campus).

While citing examples of those who were saved before they served, Pastor Odejobi mentioned Moses, Elisa, Peter, Jeremiah and Jesus Christ, adding that failure to be saved just like any of the aforementioned examples will make the demons to ask the question "who are you" as stated in the book of Acts 19:14-16.

According to him, anyone who is not saved before service may loose his or her spouse, children, benefactors even ministry in the process and will land in heavenly judgement.

He said any Minister of the gospel or worker in God's vineyard who wants to avoid pitfalls in the ministry must be saved.

The Cleric further stressed that those who fall victim of pitfalls in the ministry are those who are not saved but dabble into it.

"God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth, hence you present your bodies as a living sacrifice holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. After assurance of our salvation, we give unto Lord acceptable and profitable service both earthly and heavenly," he concluded.
