‎Another significant history was recorded in Christ Apostolic Church, Light of the World Zone on Sunday, February 8, 2026, as Pastor Isaiah Olaniyi Afolayan was formally inducted as the third Zonal Superintendent of the zone.

‎Akinyele Regional Superintendent, Pastor Samuel A. Adedayo, led the induction, administering the induction rites in line with the church’s guidelines. He then invited pioneer Zonal Superintendent of Light of the World Zone, Pastor B.O. Wajero (retired), to pray for the new superintendent and his wife.

‎In his message, "Be Obedient and Submissive to your Leaders," Pastor Adedayo stressed that leadership starts at home, extending to society, workplaces, and the church, highlighting God's structured order.

‎Pastor Adedayo explained further noting that God's call exists in three dimensions.

‎The first, he said, is the calling of sinners to repentance, described as God’s initial call to every person, referencing Matthew 3

‎According to him, when a person repents, he responds to this first call of God.

‎The second dimension is the individual call of every believer, as stated in Romans 12:1

‎He noted that after accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, believers are called not to continue in sin but to live consecrated lives, citing 1 Peter 2:9 and describing believers as chosen ambassadors of Christ.

‎The third is the call to ministry, which he described as God’s divine selection of individuals for specific purposes, drawing examples from the call of Moses in Exodus 3 and Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:1–4.

‎Pastor Adedayo explained that the reason for the call, as seen in Ephesians 4:11–14, is for correction, instruction and the building up of believers.

‎He noted that in the Old Testament, the Levites were devoted solely to God’s service and were instructed not to engage in other work because God Himself would be their portion, and the Israelites followed this command.

‎In the New Testament, he said, ‎“God has given Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers as leaders to nurture the church—not to rule over it or act boastfully. These leaders are assigned to guide believers toward spiritual growth and maturity in Christ.”

‎He added that after accepting Jesus, God desires believers to grow in faith and understanding of Christ, leading to lives continually perfected in Him.

‎Citing Apostle Paul, he noted that despite Paul’s deep intimacy with Christ and impact in the body of Christ, he still prayed to know more of Christ and the power of His resurrection.

‎The Regional Superintendent warned about the presence of heretical teachings and urged church leaders to remain committed to teaching the in-depth and undiluted word of God so that the church will be firmly rooted in Christ.

‎He stressed that God equips His servants so the church will not be tossed about by every wave of doctrine.

‎Referencing Hebrews 13:17, Pastor Adedayo stated that a church that truly desires growth must submit to the leader God has assigned to it.

‎He explained that every true minister of God will give account to God for every soul committed into his care, adding that God’s work progresses smoothly and more quickly where members obey and cooperate with their leaders.

‎He further noted that every true minister carries God’s blessings to every church he is posted to, citing Hebrews 5:4, and called on members to cooperate with, honour and support the new Zonal Superintendent so that God’s work through him would be easy.

‎According to him, such cooperation brings blessings to the church, adding that when ministers are encouraged and supported, they continually remember the people in their prayers.

‎Pastor Adedayo concluded by urging members of CAC Light of the World Zone to embrace unity, obedience and spiritual growth as Pastor Afolayan begins his leadership, emphasizing that submission to God-ordained authority will strengthen the church and advance God’s work.

‎The induction service which featured thanksgiving and prayer for the inductee was well attended by ministers and members of both CAC Light of the World zone and beyond.
