CAC General Evangelist, Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Hezekiah

The General Evangelist of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Prophet Hezekiah Oluboye Oladeji, has emphasized that Jesus Christ remains the only true Deliverer of humanity, Nigeria, and Oyo State, declaring that without Christ, mankind would remain under the power of darkness.
Prophet Hezekiah made this declaration on Sunday while delivering a message at the 2025 Christmas Carol Service and Nine Lessons organized by the Oyo State Government.
Challenging believers to examine their faith, the CAC General Evangelist asked, “If Jesus is removed from your life, who are you? If Christ were not born, what kind of life would you be living?” He noted that many lives would have been sacrificed to the forces of darkness if not for the birth of Jesus Christ.
He recalled King Herod’s attempt to kill the infant Jesus in a bid to stop the fulfillment of divine prophecies, explaining that God, in His supremacy, intervened by revealing Himself to Joseph and directing him to take the child to Egypt, in fulfillment of Scripture (Luke 1:34–35).
Describing the birth of Christ as an announcement of unprecedented joy, Prophet Hezekiah said heaven was stirred on the day Jesus was born, adding that darkness bowed and the power of Satan was destroyed at His birth.
According to him, the coming of Christ brought light into the world and terminated the reign of darkness.
The General Evangelist stressed that Christians are privileged to have Christ, stating that without His birth, believers would not be different from idol worshippers.
He affirmed that the birth of Jesus delivered humanity from the power of darkness and that the same power continues to sustain believers today.
During the service, Prophet Hezekiah offered prayers for the Governor of Oyo State, asking that he would know Christ beyond his tenure in office, while reminding the congregation that leadership positions are temporary.
He further declared that the fulfillment of prophecies surrounding the birth of Jesus is a clear proof that the Word of God can never fail.
Commending prayers for Oyo State, he said only Jesus Christ can multiply the resources of the state and bring sustainable development.
Urging the public not to reduce the celebration of Christ’s birth to mere noise and festivity, Prophet Hezekiah called on all to accept Jesus Christ personally, describing Him as the only Deliverer capable of saving, transforming lives, and calming storms.
He concluded by assuring that anyone who allows Jesus Christ into his or her life will experience positive and lasting change.
The carol service featured several renowned ministers of God, among whom was the President of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, who offered prayers for the Oyo State House of Assembly.
