Faith Home Childbirth and Missionary Health Workers, Talafia, Ede, Osun State, on Saturday, December 13, 2025, held its 86th Graduation Ceremony, with 102 students successfully completing two years of intensive training in childbirth and missionary healthcare.

The colourful event attracted church leaders, health professionals, parents, and well-wishers, who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduating students and the steady growth of the institution.

The spiritual highlight of the ceremony was a sermon titled “Called to Be the Light in Darkness,” delivered by the General Secretary of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Ezekiel Emmanuel Mapur, who represented the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele. Preaching from Matthew 5:14–15, with references to Genesis 1:3 and Romans 3:10–12, Pastor Mapur explained that darkness symbolizes sin, evil, deceit, lying, and separation from God.

He likened darkness to the loss of sight, noting that without vision there is confusion and lack of direction. He emphasized that light represents God’s presence, favour, and guidance, urging the graduates to live righteously and allow God’s light to direct their service to humanity.

In her address, the Matron of Faith Home, Ede, Mrs. O. O. Awoyungbo, described the graduation as a major milestone in the institution’s history.

She commended the church leadership, under the President of CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Olusegun Oladele, for ongoing efforts to upgrade the school, including plans to transform Faith Home into a degree-awarding institution. She described the initiative as a significant step toward enhancing the quality of missionary and healthcare training.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Board of Governors, Pastor J. B. Agunbiade, acknowledged the improvements in the school’s standards and pledged his continued support for the growth of Faith Home and the broader mission of the church, trusting God for sustained progress.

Dignitaries at the event included Mrs. D. O. Awojobi (Scribe); Dr. Ebenezer Adepoju (Doctor-in-Charge); and members of the Board of Governors—Pastor E. O. Olajide, Mrs. D. O. T. Oludare, Evangelist Mrs. B. M. Olaniyi, and Pastor M. A. Oguntegbe.

The ceremony featured the presentation of certificates, awards to outstanding students, commissioning prayers, and words of encouragement from church and institutional leaders. Speakers praised Faith Home’s long-standing contribution to maternal and child healthcare, especially in rural and underserved communities.

At the formal send-off of the 102 graduates, they were reminded that every clinic, maternity ward, and outreach location represents a mission field. Equipped with professional skills and guided by God’s light, they were charged to bring healing, hope, and direction, shining as true lights in a world in need.
