Miracle of the Millennium: After 41 years of marriage, 13 years of pregnancy, Pastor & Evang. Mrs. Dele Ajibola welcome twin boys

By Samuel Olamide OSIFUYE

When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream (Psalm 126:1). This scripture came alive in the lives of Pastor and Evangelist Mrs. Dele Ajibola, the Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Purity and Power Zone, Lagos, as God blessed them with twin baby boys after 41 years of marriage and a miraculous 13-year pregnancy.

The atmosphere was filled with awe and gratitude as family, friends, and ministers gathered to celebrate what many have described as “the miracle of the millennium" at the naming ceremony last Friday.

The christening of the twins was conducted by the Superintendent of CAC Pearce Region, Pastor S.O. Aluko, who referred to the couple as “the Zechariah and Elizabeth of our time.”

He compared the gathering to that at the naming of John the Baptist, saying that many people had come to witness this extraordinary miracle firsthand. The first twin was named Taiwo, Ayoigbala, Signs, Purity (reflecting the name of their zone), while the second was named Kehinde, Onaara, Oluwapamilerin, Power (which also reflects the name of the zone).

The retired minister, Pastor M.A. Adeoye blessed the twins and committed them to the hands of the Lord.

In his sermon taken from Psalm 136, the Director of Administration, CAC Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Tope Dada, described the event as “a miracle of the millennium.” He said, “If the Bible had not been canonized, this is the kind of testimony that would enter it. God did it for Zechariah and Elizabeth, and now He has done it again for Pastor and Evangelist Mrs. Ajibola.”

He humorously added, “The woman who had entered menopause was restarted by God. It is called menopause, not menostop!”

Pastor Dada further admonished the new parents not to overpamper their children but to raise them in the way of the Lord.

He commended Pastor Ajibola for his unwavering faith and commitment to God, recalling that he had been a fervent Christian since his youth and once served as the head of the Christ Apostolic Church Students’ Fellowship (CACSA) in 1975.

He encouraged the congregation never to give up on God, emphasizing that “there is nothing impossible for Him to do,” before making an altar call.

In his heartfelt testimony, Pastor Ajibola recounted God’s faithfulness throughout their 41-year journey of marriage which started in 1985. “It got to a point I told my wife, ‘I didn’t accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior so He can give me children; I accepted Him so I can make heaven.’ Yet, in His mercy, He chose to surprise us,” he shared emotionally.

Evangelist Mrs. Ajibola described the pregnancy as a 13-year journey that began in 2012, marked by repeated disappointments. “On different occasions, scans revealed a baby, but the next time, there would be nothing in the womb.

Specialists from different hospitals across states confirmed the pregnancies and later couldn’t find them again,” she narrated. “I once pleaded with God to give me another ministry because people mocked me for being a midwife who couldn’t bear her own child. But God told me to be patient. I never knew it would take decades. To the glory of God, here I am today, a joyful mother of twins.”

The event drew a large crowd of ministers, family, friends, and members from far and near. Among those present were retired Pastor Michael Adebayo Adeoye; Superintendent, CAC Pearce Region, and his wife, Pastor and Mrs. S.O. Aluko; Director of Administration, Pastor and Mrs. Tope Dada; Superintendent, CAC Yaba DCC, Pastor S.E.A. Oludare; Superintendent, CAC Odi-Olowo DCC, Pastor and Mrs. D.O. Ogungbenjo; Pastor Dele Olutunde; Pastor J.T. Adedeji; Pastor E.O. Adewumi; and several other dignitaries.

The celebration, filled with songs of praise, tears of joy, and testimonies of faith, stands as a resounding reminder that what God cannot do does not exist.
