Christ Apostolic Church, Canaanland District Headquarters, Kilometer 2, Omifunfun Road, Garage Olode, Osun State, has held its 2025 District Anniversary and Refresher Seminar — a one-day spiritual leadership and capacity-building programme for ministers, ministers’ wives, elders, deaconesses, and church workers.
The impactful event, held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at the District Headquarters, was declared open by the DCC and District Superintendent, Pastor Z.A. Omoboyede. In his opening remarks, he committed the programme into God’s hands, setting a tone of divine guidance for the day.
Delivering the welcome address, Chairman of the Planning Committee, Evangelist Kunle E. Omidiran, emphasized the importance of building genuine partnership with God in ministry. He urged participants to focus on divine service rather than positions or titles, reminding them that “it is our relationship with God that validates our labour in His vineyard.”
LECTURE SESSIONS
Lecture One:
The first lecture, titled “Labouring Together with God in Leadership Capacity,” was delivered by Pastor Gideon Akinyoade. He described Christian leadership as a sacred call to collaborative service, not a competition. According to him, effective leadership requires humility, faithfulness, vision, stewardship, and a servant’s heart under God’s direction.
Lecture Two:
Evangelist (Mrs.) Deborah Omoboyede delivered the second lecture titled “Take Heed to Your Work.” Drawing from 1 Corinthians 3:10–15 and Ephesians 4:29, she charged workers to be diligent, careful, and responsible in their assignments. She warned that while believers may be saved, their works will still be tested, urging everyone to remain steadfast amid end-time challenges.
The session concluded with a powerful prayer segment led by Prophet John A. Adedokun.
Lecture Three:
The final lecture, presented by Pastor Z.A. Omoboyede, focused on “Church Liturgy.” He explained that liturgy represents the structured pattern of worship that defines the church’s corporate fellowship. He emphasized the need for ministers and workers to understand CAC liturgical practices, including Holy Communion, Baptism, Naming Ceremonies, Child Dedication, Wedding Rites, and Burial Services.
Participants described the lecture as eye-opening, as it deepened their understanding of the church’s sacred traditions.
Renewed Commitment and Thanksgiving
The seminar concluded with renewed zeal among attendees, who left spiritually refreshed and better equipped for effective leadership and service in God’s vineyard.
The Anniversary and Thanksgiving session, anchored by Pastor Z. Aderinto, saw various assemblies under CAC Canaanland Olode District joyfully praising God for His grace and faithfulness over the years. Pastor Jacob Akinjare offered prayers of gratitude and blessings upon the district.
In his closing remarks, Pastor Omoboyede appreciated God for the success of the event and extended heartfelt thanks to the CAC authorities, the Pioneer of CAC Canaanland Olode DCC, Prophet Hezekiah O. Oladeji, all ministers, workers, members, and the planning committee for their commitment and dedication.
Members of the planning committee include Evangelist Kunle E. Omidiran, Mrs. T.S. Adefowora, Evangelist Oketade Oluwasogo, Evangelist Femi Ologunde, Evangelist (Miss) Blessing Alabi, Elder Omowumi Adedayo, and Mr. Tobi Fesobi.
