The fifth stream of the Christ Apostolic Church Pastors' Leadership Retreat (PLR) commenced today, Monday, October 13, 2025, at Joseph Ayo Babalola University (JABU), Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State, Nigeria.

Like  previous editions, the current training includes participants from some the various regions in CAC: Odubanjo, Pearce, Akinyele, Babalola, Orogun, Essien, Sophia-Ajayi, Akiling, Adelaja, Orekoya, Olutimehin, Odusona, and Medaiyese.

In his address, the President of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele, highlighted the three-point agenda of the current administration—Training and Development, Reconciliation, and Evangelism/Church Growth—as stated in his inaugural address.

According to him, the training program, as approved by the Church Authority, is a pivotal means of realizing the other two agenda points.

The President, who was represented by the General Secretary of the Church, Pastor Emmanuel E. Mapur, urged participants at the PLR to conduct God’s business as serious business.

He noted that one of the tools for organizational growth is training, referencing how Jesus called those He wanted to be with Him and taught them.

The training is facilitated by the CAC Leadership Academy (CACLA), inaugurated on December 29, 2021, by the Church Authority with a mandate to actualize the human capacity development goal of the current administration.

The participants had their first phase of lectures today — The Church Organogram and Administrative Structure by the General Secretary, Pastor E. E. Mapur; The Purpose-Driven Church by the Superintendent, New Covenant District, Pastor Abraham Ekebafe; Leadership and Teamwork by the CACLeadership Academy (CACLA) Head of Faculty, Elder Abiola Popoola; and Health and Well-being by the Superintendent, CAC Odi-Olowo DCC, Pastor D. O. Ogungbenjo. The other days of the training program promise to be even more informative and transformative.

More than 2,300 CAC pastors have participated in the training since its commencement in January 2022, including the President, other Principal Officers of the Church, Regional Superintendents, Heads of Fellowships/Departments, DCC/Zonal, and District Superintendents.
