As the Christ Apostolic Church International Youth Conference kicked off at the Babalola International Memorial Miracle Camp on Wednesday, September 4, 2025, the Director of Youth Affairs, Pastor Peter Olanrewaju, Ph.D., called the attention of youths to a noteworthy truth about their salvation experience.
During his keynote address, the Director noted that believers, beyond being saved, have also been commissioned to reign.
In his words, he said,"Christ has not just saved us from sin, He has commissioned us to reign."
Stressing the point further, the Director highlighted the divine mandate upon believers, saying, "We are not redeemed for religious routines. We are redeemed to represent the government of God in our generation. We are called to serve at the altar and legislate from the gates. The throne and the altar are not separate assignments. They are a unified mandate, a life of consecration and dominion."
According to Pastor Olanrewaju, the conference is not merely a gathering of minds but a convergence of spirits — a sacred moment where heaven engages the earth.
He called the youths to be conscious of God's recruitment of kings and priests into His end-time army.
"You are here today because Heaven has marked you. There is a rising army of young people, burning with holy fire, grounded in truth, walking in wisdom, and leading with integrity. The Spirit of God is recruiting men and women who will reveal God's heart as priests and enforce His purposes as kings," he noted.
"God is raising those who will influence culture without compromise. Whether you are called to the pulpit or the public workspace, to the campus or the corporate world, you must burn first at the altar," he added.
He then charged the congregation, saying, "Beloved, be expectant. The next few days are loaded with encounters. Something eternal will happen to you. God will awaken dreams you forgot, stir hunger you lost, and birth new visions that will outlive you. Come hungry. Come ready. Come surrendered."
This week's edition of the 2025 International Youth Conference features the Ikeji III Conference Centre, which comprises the Babalola, Orogun, and Hanson regions. It serves as the grand finale of the previous editions that have been ongoing since the conference began in July. The 2025 IYC is themed "Leading as Kings and Priests."
