The Assistant Regional Coordinator, Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Akilling Region, Pastor Ebenezer Aladejare has stressed that the knowledge received at salvation is not sufficient to becoming a disciple, stressing on the need for youths to be actively part of the process of discipleship.

"Salvation is a one time experience, in terms of giving your life to Christ but salvation in terms of discipleship, is a long term process. What you know after being born again is not enough to become a disciple, and giving your life to Christ does not mean you are broken."

Pastor Aladejare said this on Friday, 2nd September, 2022 during the third lecture titled "The Marks of True Disciple in the Market Place"  at the 2022 Ikeji 2 Youth Conference holding at Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp Ground, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State.

According to him, discipleship is a conscious act, being deliberate about following Jesus and being a full time follower.

He told Christ Apostolic Church youths that "character can only be formed when the person of Christ is formed in you and that the formation is a life-time experience."

"Character is formed and built up, just as the fruits of the Spirit are grown and not given," the cleric said.

The clergyman stated that, "God does not work by emotions, He works by principle, and principle is a standardized way of making something happen."

Explaining the need for being disciplined to be discipled, and that every child of God is a representative, an ambassador of the Kingdom, Pastor Aladejare noted that every child must be able to influence the world.

"Anything at its raw state can not give you its best value," he said.
