CAC Modakeke DCC holds Joint Refresher Course for Ministers and Wives, Elders, Deaconesses, Church Workers

 



The 3 days Joint Refresher Course programme for the Ministers, Ministers' Wives, Elders, Deaconesses and Church Workers of Christ Apostolic Church, Modakeke District Coordinating Council (DCC), Modakeke, Osun State, themed "Growing in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord" was highly impactful and revelational.


The first lecture titled "Discovering and Developing God's Grace in the Life of a Minister" was delivered by the Modakeke DCC Secretary, Pastor E. O Afolabi on the first day of the programme; while the second lecture titled "Church Worker and Proper Home Management" was delivered by Modakeke DCC Superintendent, Pastor E. O. Adeleke on the second day. 


The Grandfinale of the 2022 Refresher Course, held on Saturday, 18th June, 2022 had two special guest ministers, Pastor Unction Timothy Olufemi, a Marriage Councellor & Family Therapist; and Pastor Dr. A .A Abayomi, DCC Superintendent, CAC Oke-Isegun, Ondo.


Pastor Unction Timothy Olufemi, of CAC Praise Chapel, Ile-Ife, delivering the third lecture at the Refresher Course titled "The Impact of Happy Home in the Ministry" shared the depths of what the meaning of marriage and what it means to have a happy home, with the use of a multimedia gadget.


Pastor Unction helped his audience to understand that a happy home is God’s will and gift for everyone (Ecclesiastes 9:9) such that it takes obedience to God's words to enjoy a happy home (Isaiah 1:19; 1 Timothy 3:5).


The marriage counselor, whose lecture brought healing to many homes and proffered solutions to many crises, also made emphasis on peaceful living among spouses at all times. 


In his lecture under the topic "Attaining the whole measure of the Fulness of Christ", the DCC Superintendent, CAC Oke-Isegun, Ondo, Pastor Dr. A. A. Abayomi, who started with a prayer session, stated that laws must be taken from the Scriptures, and not from the secular world. 


He emphasized on the power of the Word of God to grow to the measure of the fulness of Christ; explaining that anyone who comes to church does not do so because of gifts or relationship with church members, but because he/she is convinced by the Lord Jesus and brought by Him.


Pastor Abayomi counselled that, members and Pastors of a church must be a friends of the Bible which will enable a closer relationship with God.


A Holy Communion service held before the benediction was said by the DCC Superintendent, Pastor E. O. Adeleke.
