The remains of the former Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Mushin DCC, Yaba DCC, Ogbomosho DCC and Moro DCC, Pastor John Oyebanji has been committed to mother earth.

Pastor Oyebanji was laid to rest on Friday October 22, 2021 in Moro, Osun state.

After the interment service, a Thanksgiving service was held at CAC Moro DCC headquarters. The service had in attendance family, friends, spiritual children and lovers of the late icon who lived a selfless life and was totally dedicated to the kingdom service during his lifetime.

The Church Authorities were also well represented at occasion with the presence of the President, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele and General Superintendent Pastor Emmanuel O. Odejobi. The Regional Superintendent of Odubanjo Region (Ekiti and Ondo States), Pastor D.I.O. Edoh, Babalola (Osun and Oyo States) Regional Superintendent, Pastor J.O. Ogunwuyi, Music Director, Pastor Tope Dada, Senior Pastor, Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) Matthew Ashimolowo, Prophet Funso Akande and many others were in attendance.

While ministering at the programme on the topic "The Brevity of Life" (Job 14:1-2), the President of CAC Worldwide, Pastor Oladele said as human beings, we forget a lot of things and it is possible we may have forgotten the truth in this passage of the scripture (Job 14:1-2) which we know through it that life is very short irrespective of the years one spent on earth.

He noted that irrespective of the name one is given (Kokumo, Arikuyeri etc.) one shall die, adding that life is short and it is a process.

The President stated that we must all agree with the fact that life is short and decaying and if that is the case we must fulfill our assignment on earth.

According to him, "we should love the Lord, serve the Lord. Be diligent in the duty assigned to you. Anything you want to do in the Lord, do it now. 'Now' and 'today' are the languages of the Bible. Don't procrastinate. Time doesn't wait for anyone. The brevity of life teaches us to be patient under trouble. We shouldn't be deluded that there won't be trouble in this life, but those troubles are for a short time."

Pastor Oladele further said many preachers are fond of advertising goods that are not in God's supermarket.

He added that "they will tell people that immediately they give their lives to Christ they won't face troubles of life. Life is full of many hours. One of such hours is hour of darkness. God won't intervene during the time of darkness because darkness is a necessity, it must come. There is nobody who will come to this earth and won't have his or her share of the problem of the world. Baba Oyebanji had his share of the problems of life."

  1. Great man of God. I often confuse his look and voice with that Baba Olusheye. He was my DCC Superintendent in Ogbomoso while schooling there in early 2000s. He moved the hand of God in Ogbomoso a Baptist Church dominated community. CAC was elevated in Ogbomoso during his time. CAC Oke Ayo benefitted more as well as OkeIsegun and Oke Ibukun (All now DCCs). Many saw his coming to Ogbomoso as a punishment as he was seemingly more. Many Reverends enjoyed him preach. I remembered interpreting for him on two occasions. A no-nonsense man he was. Fumble at interpreting and receive a knock. He was a teacher and church administrator per excellence. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
