The Zonal Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Power of His Word Zone, Ibadan, Pastor Ayobamidele O. Peter has told Ministers of the Gospel, particularly young ministers that Holy Spirit without tutelage and seminary training would result to failure in the ministry.

He said anyone who wants to last long in the ministry must get himself or herself trained.

Pastor Peter stated this recently at the Refresher Course organized for Ministers and their wives by Christ Apostolic Church, Sanngo Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), Sango, Ibadan.

He urged ministers to spend adequate time preparing themselves for the task ahead of them in the ministry, adding that the disciples spent adequate time with Jesus Christ before starting the ministry.

Pastor Peter also said success in the ministry is not measured by the size of the crowd a minister or denomination is able to gather, urging the ministers to seek after fulfilling the purpose of God for the ministry.

He told the ministers that their gifts or ministry is from God and no one should boast about it because it was not gotten by power, God gave it willingly.

According to him, God doesn't want any of His ministers to fall, adding that "if you fall today it would be a big loss to heaven.

While urging the ministers to be sure of their salvation, Pastor Peter said there are ministers who have calling and gifts but they are not born again.

He further said that their not being born again would tarnish the image of their ministry.

Pastor Peter also urged the ministers to take good care of their family which he said is their first ministry.

"You can't have a ministry if you don't have a home. The first ministry you have is your home. If your wife or children do not accept you as a man of God, there is a problem," the Cleric said
