A mere closeness with a successful person does not guarantee success, says Pastor Oladele

The incumbent General Superintendent of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide, Pastor Samuel O. Oladele has said Gehazi's life has proved that a mere closeness with a successful person does not guarantee success or excellence in life.

He further said that the opportunity Gehazi had to be close to Elisha would have made him to have triple power of Elijah, but he lost the opportunity and gained leprosy.

Pastor Oladele stated this while ministering on the topic “The Lost Axe-Head” at the 2020 Conference of all Evangelists, Planters, Prophets and Prophets organized by the Evangelical Department of CAC Worldwide.

The Cleric who also said that there is a difference between soul winning and crowd winning, noted that the church must be growing, we must not use earthly wisdom to develop the Church, but divine wisdom.

He implored believers not to be talkers, but walkers in the Church and not to be like Sadducees, stating that we are saved to serve, we are not saved to be idle.

Pastor Oladele implored ministers not to run alone in the ministry or run ahead of God, emphasizing that without the Holy Spirit, ministry will amount to nothing.

According to him, when you think you can do the work alone, you are grieving the Holy Spirit.

The Cleric advised that when you discover you are no longer the same person you used to be in the Lord, you need to cry to God for restoration.
