Christ Apostolic Church disowns incestuous Pastor

The Authorities of Christ Apostolic Church, Worldwide have disowned one Pastor Oluwafemi Oyebola, who was accused of raping his daughter in Owode Egbado, Ogun State.

The said pastor was alleged to have been committing rape on his daughter since 2015, when he lost his wife and had procured three abortions for the hapless lady. The girl, sensing that her father would ruin her life, was said to have reported her ordeal to a non-governmental organisation, the Advocacy For Children and Vulnerable Persons Network, which eventually reported the case to the police.

In a statement issued by the Church’s Director of Publicity, Pastor Ade. Alawode, the Church said  Pastor Oluwafemi last worked in the C. A. C. Agbala Itura branch of the Church in Egbado area over six years ago when he was suspended from the Church services over issues of discipline.

According to the statement, since the said Pastor Oluwafemi Oyebola left CAC Agbala Itura over six years ago, he has not been working for any other branch of the Church.

“Our investigation revealed that the said Pastor Oluwafemi Oyebola has not been reinstated into the Church’s services since his suspension in 2014, so, he is no longer a minister of the Church.

“The Church where the incident took place in Owode Egba, is not among the assemblies registered with the authorities of the Church. He must have been presiding over the Church illegally” the statement added.

The authorities of the Church wish to register their abhorrence to all forms of sexual immorality, be it rape, incest or any other acts of violence against women. They therefore urged the police to thoroughly investigate the matter and charge the suspect to court if he is found to be culpable.

The Church has therefore urged the Press to always cross check their facts before going to the Press as many people these days have been found to be using the name of the Church illegally whereas they are not known to the authorities of the Church.

  4. I think we should all be monitoring all the
churches in our area. Our D\S should be mandated to go around there area and the church that is not under them should be monitored. The Ds can ask for there licenses and force them to register legally.

  8. I strongly suggest to the authority to use this incident as a wake up call to raise a monitoring team, that will cover all nooks and crannies of our country and the diaspora, fetching out such unregistered or deregistered ministers who are still using the church's name as a cover up to continue their nefarious activities which in turn cast aspersion on the good effort of the founding fathers and our present leaders holding the reigns. Even those who use the name of the church without properly submitting to the authority of the church should not be spared. If anyone is called to pull out, then pull out and register with a different name but using the name without cooperating with the authority in itself is criminal act and should be viewed as one. Thanks. May God bless His Church, the leaders and the congregants. Amen

  9. On my own, I wish to support the suggestion that a monitoring team be set up to consist of dedicated, faithful, loyal and God fearing ministers of God from all cadres/ levels of the church heirachy to handle issues of this nature. During the time of Late Pastor E.H.L. Olusheye, there was an arrangement put in place to register every assembly, district,zone/dcc of the church and registration number allotted to them. Most of us registered then waiting for registration number & certificate. The evidence is still available. The senior minister handling it then is now a Regional Chairman (Pastor Owolabi). He can be of great help if we are to go back to this arrangement. We should only be careful, conscious and considerate of those who have duly done it then not to placed much fee on them to prevent non participation from members on the ground of a huge financial obligation. The purpose of such programme is not for financial gain but rather for Administrative purposes. I will be willing to work with this team if given the privilege or grace. While we may not be able to totally eradicate or prevent such ugly incident as this but we will be able to curtail or reduced to minimal level the rate of evil been perpetrated by unregistered/ unrecognised ministers on the name of Christ Apostolic Church.

  10. So sad!

This issue of some individuals claiming to be planters has done more harm than good to this great commission.

See how the efforts of our fathers and the name of the church is being dragged to the mud.

Our fathers didn't claim ownership of those churches they planted.

And I'm sure the aim of the Church Authority to have allowed those claiming to be planters to "plant and grow the same" have been defeated.

Left for me, anybody that is not ready to work directly under the church and ready to accept transfer to anywhere as the Lord may direct our fathers should simply leave. Let him open as many churches to his name and name it whatever he likes other than CHRIST APOSTOLIC CHURCH.

We pray God to grant our fathers the wisdom they need to handle this issue once and for all.

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? people have already out on the way of God,When God himself was looking for Adam in Genesis asking for Adam, it's Abomination to such person

  14. To God be the glory, no matter the situation is.
Our problem is the unwilling attitude of the mission that is not ready to put centrally control machinery in place that will take Church planting as their major assignment.
This department of the mission will be giving their report to the central administrative body quarterly, how far they have gone.
Also all the districts, zonal and coordinating council should be mandated to plant minimum of one assembly per year.
This will give the authority every audacity to control and administer from the central with out any prejudice.
But as long the mission is left to the mercy of church merchants, there is little or nothing the church administrator can do.
Finally, let's borrow a leaf from other new Pentecostal churches and old Orthodox churches, who by now are carrying on reformation in their organization.
Believe this, nothing shall be impossible if we all agreed on this. Genesis 11:6 says
And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have one language; and this they begin to do:and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
    Thanks.
